1.  SPACE X FALSON-9 ROCKET BROKE APART IN FLAMES:
i.   Space X Falcon-9 rocket broke apart in flames minutes after lifting off from Cape Canaveral.
ii.  The accident occurred in only two and half minutes after the launch.
iii.  This incident is the third failure to send supplies to the ISS in the last 8 months.
       ISS- International Space Station.

2.  SRI LANKAN PRESIDENT DISSSOLVED PARLIAMENT:
i.   Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena dissolved Parliament
ii.  Sirisena dissolved the parliament within 160 days after assuming his office
iii.  This dissolution ends the term of the coalition government that was appointed for a period of 100 days after the presidential election.

1.  WORLD INVESTMENT REPORT 2015:
i.   UNCTAD released World Investment Report 2015.
ii.  The report was titled as, ‘Reforming International Investment Governance’.
iii.  UNCTAD- United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

2.  FIRST UNIT OF BENGAIGAON THERMAL POWER PROJECT COMMISSIONED:
i.   BHEL commissioned first 250 MW unit of NTPC’s Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project of NTPC in Assam.
ii.  BHEL is executing the NTPC’s project for setting up three units of 250 MW each as coal- based project which will be completed by 2016.
iii.  BHEL- Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.
iv.  NTPC- National Thermal Power Corporation.    

3.  INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING:
i. International Day Against Drug abuse and illicit trafficking was observed globally on 26th June 2015.
ii.  The theme for the day was, “Let’s Develop our lives, Our Communities, our identities without drugs”.

4.  SACHIN TENDULKAR NAMED AS GREATEST TEST PLAYER OF 21ST CENTURY:
i.  Former Indian Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is voted as the best Test player of 21st century in an online poll.
ii.  Sachin Tendulkar got 23% votes and was followed by Srilanka’s Kumar Sangakara (14% votes) and Australia’s Adam Gilchrist (13% votes).

5. ANSHULA KANT BECOMES CFO AND DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR OF SBI:
i.  Anshula Kant is appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Managing Director of State Bank of India.
ii.  Anshula Kant succeeded P.K.Gupta, who is promoted as Chief Executive Officer of SBI capital.

6. RBI RELEASED FSR 2015:
i.  RBI has released Financial Stability Report June 2015.
ii. This is the Eleventh issue of its half yearly publication.

7.  DEADLINE FOR EXCHANGING PRE-2015 CURRENCY NOTES EXTENDED BY 6 MONTHS:
i.  RBI has extended the deadline for exchanging pre-2005 currency notes by 6-months i.e. till 31st December 2015.
ii.  Earlier on 23rd December 2014, it extended the deadline for echanging pre-2005 notes of various denominations by another six months till 30th June 2015 for previous 31st December 2015.
Note: Past-2005 notes have added security features and will help in curbing the menace of fake currency.

i.   SEBI relaxed the IPO Norms for Technological start-ups to raise funds from capital market.
ii.  It reduced the post listing lock in period for tech start up promoters to six months, instead of three years for other IPOs

2.  LUCKNOW ZOO RENAMED AFTER LAST NAWAB WAJID ALI SHAH:
i.   Uttar Pradesh Government renamed the Lucknow Proni Udyan, popularly known as Lucknow Zoo, as Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, Prani Udyan , Lucknow.
ii.  Lucknow Zoo was established in 1921 and named after England’s Prince Wales.           

3.  ASIAN ATHLETICS GRAND PRIX:
i.  Inderjeet Singh and Jinson Johnson won Gold Medals at Asian Athletics Grand Prix
ii.  India won a total of 8 medals out of which 2 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze.
iii. Inderjit Singh won Gold in Shotput (men) and Jinson Johson won Gold in 800 mt event.
iv.  The venue for Asian Athletics Grand Prix, 2015 is Bangkok ,Thailand.

4.  STEFFI GRAF IS APPOINTED AS KERALA’S AYURVEDA BRAND AMBASSADOR:
i.  Steffi Graf is appointed as Kerala’s Ayurveda Brand Ambassador.
ii.  Steffi Graf is a German Tennis Player who had bagged 22 Grand Slam titles.
iii.  Chief Minister of Kerala- Oommen Chandy.

5. GLOBAL PEACE INDEX 2015:
i.  IEP has released Global Peace Index 2015.
ii. The GPI 2015 measured peace, its causes and its economic value during 2014.
iii.  India is placed at 143rd position, the same as 2014.
iv. Iceland is the most peaceful country.

6.  FIFA U-20 WORLD CUP 2015:

i.   China and Australia have signed free Trade agreement.
ii.  The agreement was signed by China’s Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng and Australia’s Trade Minister Andrew Robb at Canberra in Australia.

2.  INDIA , TANZANIA SIGNED 6 MOUS:
i.   India and Tanzania have signed 6 MoUs during the visit of president of Tanzania to India.
ii.  The agreement was inked between Prime Minister of India and President of Tanzania, Jakaya Mrisho Kikete.

3.  350TH FOUNDATION DAY OF SHRI ANANDPUR SAHIB CELEBRATED;

ii.  Shri Anandpur Sahib, the holy city of Punjab was founded by the 9th Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Teg Bahadur in 1665.
iii.  Shri Anandpur Sahib is the new name of Chak Nanki.

4.  WEATHER ALERT SERVICE ‘NOWCAST’ LAUNCHED:
i.  Union Government of India has launched weather alert service, ‘NOWCAST’.
ii. Union Agriculture minister ‘Radha Mohan Singh’ launched the Service.
iii. Radha Mohan Singh also launched Insurance Web-Portals for Farmers.

5. TWO COMMITTEES FOR FACILITATING IMPLEMENTATION OF GST:
i.  Union Minister of finance has formed two committees for facilitating implementation of GST.
ii.  GST Bill was approved by the Lok Sabha and is pending with Rajya Sabha.
iii.  Committees will be headed by Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Ministry of Finance.

1.  NUMBER OF WORK DAYS INCREASED UNDER MGNREGA:
i.  Union Government has decided to increase the number of work days under MGNREGA in drought hit areas.
ii.  Union government has decided to increase it from 100 days to 150 days.
iii.  MGNREGA- Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.

2.  INCLUSION OF UTTARAKHAND, JHARKHAND AND CHATTISGARH IN NATIONAL DAIRY PLAN-I:
i.   CCEA has approved the inclusion of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh in National Dairy Plan-I.
ii.  NDP-I is being implemented in 15 states which accounts for more than 90% of the country’s milk production.

3.  INDIA’S TRADE DEFICIT NARROWED TO 10.4 BILLION US $:
i.  India’s trade deficit in May 2015 has narrowed down to 10.4 billion US dollars.
ii.  The decline in trade deficit came along with decline in exports and imports in May 2015 to 20.19% and 16.52% respectively.

4.  SHARAD PAWAR RE-ELECTED AS PRESIDENT OF MCA:
i.  Sharad Pawar is re-elected as the president of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
ii.  Sharad Pawar is a veteran leader of Nationalist Congress Party.
iii.  Sharad Pawar defeated Vijay Patil by 34 votes to retain the post.

5. ELECTION COMMISSION SUSPENDED NPP:
i.  Election Commission of India has suspended Recognition of National People’s Party (NPP).
ii.  NPP is a state party in Meghalaya headed by former Lok Sabha Speaker P.A. Sangma.
iii.  The decision was taken in lieu of its failure in filing the election expenditure statement related to 2014 Lok Sabha General Elections within the prescribed limit of 90 days.
