Ø  An Iranian-origin man HaronMonis held 17 people hostage at Lindt Café in Sydney for around 17 hours.
Ø  Two Indian nationals, VishwakantAnkit Reddy and PushpenduGhosh were among the hostage. However both escape unhurt in this hostage drama
Ø  Monis arrived in Australia as a refugee in 1996.
Ø  He was self-styled Muslim cleric and was described as isolated figure, who was acting alone.
