1)         GOVERNOR’S RULE IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR

Ø  President Pranab Mukherjee approved the Governor’s rule in J&K.

Ø  It is because there is deadlock in the state over formation of a new government after assembly elections.

Ø  J&K has come under governor’s rule for the second time under Governor N.N. Vohra, the first was in 2008.
