1.      SBI SELLS ITS STAKE IN CIBIL TO IIFL:
Ø  State Bank of India has sold its 4% stake in CIBIL for an estimated amount of Rs.72crores.
Ø  SBI has sold its 3% stake in CIBIL to IIFL India alternatives and 1% to India Info line finance.
CIBIL-> Credit information Bureau India Ltd. It is the largest information credit company in India.

2.     MANMOHAN SINGH SUMMONED BY COURT IN COAL SCAM CASE:
Ø  FORMER Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is summoned by a Delhi trial court as an accused in coal block allocation case.
Ø  Manmohan Singh was the coal minister of India in 2005.
Ø  Manmohan Singh is accused of accommodating kumar Mangalam Birla-owned Hindalco in a joint coal block.

3.     KISAN CALL CENTRE OPENED IN TRIPURA:
Ø  First ever Kisan call centre of North-east is opened in agartala, capital city of Tripura.
Ø  Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Sarkar launched the first KCC (kisan call centre) of north-east.
Ø  Although financed by the Tripura government, KCC will be run by a private enterprise with experts of agriculture, horticulture, fisheries and animal husbandry.

4.     IMF INCREASES INDIA’S GROWTH FORECAST TO 7.2% FOR CURRENT FISCAL:
Ø  IMF in its annual assessment report has raised its growth forecast for India to 7.2% for the current fiscal.
Ø  A revised methodology adopted by India for calculating its GDP has helped to rise its growth forecast.

5.      INDIA SIGNED 4 PACTS WITH SEYCHELLES:
Ø  Prime minister, Narendra Modi on his visit to Seychelles signed 4 pacts to boost security cooperation.
Ø  To boost security cooperation, Indian prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a surveillance radar project with Seychelles.
Ø  India also agreed to help Seychelles in mapping its hydrology reserves under four agreements.
Ø  India will provide second Dronier aircraft to Seychelles and provide free of cost visa for 3 months for its citizens.

1.   HARYANA LAUNCHED A NEW SCHEME FOR GIRLS:
Ø Haryana government launched a new scheme, “Aapki Beti, Hamari Beti” for girls.
Ø Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar launched the scheme, “Aapki Beti, Hamari Beti” to improve the sex ratio in the state.
Ø BENEFITS OF THE SCHEME:
Ø Every first girl child born on or after January 22, 2015 in SC and BPL families will get Rs. 21000.
Ø Every second girl child born on or after January 22, 2015 of all families will get Rs. 21000.
Ø The amount of INDIRA GANDHI MAHILA SHAKTI AWARD is increased from 1lakh to 1.5lakhs.
