1. JAIPUR GETS METRO RAIL SERVICE:
i. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje inaugurated Phase 1 of Jaipur metro rail service.
ii. Pink city became the sixth city in the country to have metro service.
iii. Jaipur metro is publicized as one of the fastest built metros in the country as it has been developed within a time period of four and a half year.

2. UNION GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED KHOYA PAYA WEB PORTAL:
i.  Union Government launched khoya paya web portal to exchange information on missing children.
ii.  Khoya Paya web portal khoyapaya.gov.in is first of its kind citizen based website.
iii.  It was jointly launched by Maneka Gandhi and Ravi Shanker Prasad.

3.  IAP HEALTHPHONE PROGRAMME LAUNCHED:

i.   India and Sweden singed 6 agreements during visit of Pranab Mukherjee to Sweden.

3.  KOLKATA DHAKA AGARTALA BUS SERVICE BEGAN:
i.  Trail run of Kolkata-Dhaka-Agartala bus service began.
ii.  With this launch, the time taken to reach Agartala from Kolkata will be reduced to 17 hours

7.  RBI CUTS REPO RATE BY 25 BPS:
i.   RBI cuts Repo Rate by 25 basic points in monetary policy review.
ii.  Repo rate is decreased from 7.5% to 7.25% while CRR is kept unchanged at 4%.

iii. Repo Rate is the rate of interest charged by RBI from other commercial banks on the loans provided to commercial bank in the event of any shortfall of funds.

2.   JYOTI PRASAD TAKHOWA SWORN IN AS GOVERNOR OF AUNCHAL PRADESH:
i.    Jyoti Prasad Rajkumar sworn in as the new Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.
ii.  The oath of the office was administered by the Chief Justice of guwahati, Jusitice K sreedhar Rao.
iii.  Rajkhowa is a retired IAS officer from 1968 batch.

3.  WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY: 31ST MAY 2015:
i.  World No Tobacco Day was observed on 31st May 2015 around the globe.

5.  SEPP BLATTER RE-ELECTED AS FIFA PRESIDENT:
i.  Joseph Sepp Blatter is re-elected as FIFA president for the fifth term
ii.  Sepp Blatter secured 133 votes out of 206 valid votes

i. RBI notified FIIs to invest up to 49% in Gammon Infrastructure projects limited.

3. NATO LAUNCHED ARCTIC CHALLENGE EXERCISE:
i. NATO launched Arctic Challenge Exercise in the north of Norway, Sweden and Finland.

iii.  This the 2nd Exercise prior to this 1st exercise held in 2013.

i. Forbes has released the world’s 100 most powerful women 2015 list.
ii.  German Chancellor Angela Merker fetched the first spot followed by Hillary Clinton.

4.  48 TIGERS IN CHANDRAPUR FOREST :

i.   According to WCT survey, 48 tigers are present in non protected Chandrapur forest areas of Maharashtra.

ii.  No. of Big Cats in the district stands at 120, including 60 in core area and 12 in buffer area of TATR.

iii.  Study was carried out by Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra (FDCM).
