1.’INDIAN TEAM WON NASA AWARD’
i.Indian scientist team led by Sameer Panda won the NASA award for an innovative technology named Burst Prevention & Puncture Curative technology.
ii.They won the award in the Create the Future Design Contest- 2015 conducted by NASA in New York.
iii.Indian Team won the award for Mild Run Flat Tyre based on BPPC technology.
iv.The technology decreases the possibilities of bursts, takes care of punctures and dynamic wheel balancing.

2. INDIA’S COAST GUARD OFFSHORE PATROL VESSEL ‘SAMARTH’ COMMISSIONED INTO INDIAN NAVY
i. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar commissioned the India Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Vessel ‘Samarth’ at Vasco in Goa.
ii.Samarth patrolling vessel is equipped with  most advance technology, navigation and communication equipment, sensors and machinery.

3. ‘ABRAHAM M KEITA’ WON THE 2015 ‘INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S PEACE PRIZE’
i. Abraham M Keita was honoured  with the prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize 2015.
ii.The  award is given for his extraordinary work for justice for child victims of physical or sexual violence, and for successfully campaigning for the Liberian parliament to adopt the Children’s Law.
iii.International Children’s Peace Prize is awarded annually to child from across the world for his or her dedication to children’s rights.
4. ‘12TH ASEM FOREIGN MINISTERS' MEET HELD IN LUXEMBURG
i. 12th Asia-Europe Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Luxembourg.
ii.The meeting  was chaired by Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
iii.The Theme of the summit was ‘Working Together for a Sustainable and Secure Future’

5. ‘SUBIR GOKARN’ APPOINTED AS IMF'S EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
i. Former Deputy Governor of RBI Subir Vithal Gokarn was appointed as an Executive Director on the board of the International Monetary Fund.
ii.He will replace Rakesh Mohan at the International monetary fund.

6. PRESIDENT APPROVED ‘HARYANA GAUVANSH SANRAKSHAN AND GAUSAMVARDHAN BILL’
i. President Pranab Mukherjee gave approval for  Haryana Gauvansh Sanrakshan and Gausamvardhan Bill.
ii.Now, Cow slaughter in Haryana will invite rigorous imprisonment ranging from 3 to 10 years and a fine of up to 1 lakh rupees.
iii.Any person who attempts to export cows for slaughter will be imprisoned for not less than 3 years and up to 7 years. In addition, fine between 30000 rupees and 70000 rupees will be imposed.

i. Raghuram Rajan, Governor of Reserve Bank of India, has been elected as vice-chairman of the Bank of International Settlement.
ii.He will have a three-year term as vice-chairman of the BIS.
iii.Raghuram Rajan is the first Indian central bank Governor to become the vice-chairman of BIS.
 iv.The Bank for International Settlements is the world’s oldest international financial organizationestablished in May 1930.
4. INDIA’S GSAT-15 COMMUNICATION SATELLITE LAUNCHED SUCCESSFULLY
I.GSAT-15 is India’s latest communications satellite which was recently successfully launched
ii.GSAT-15 was launched from Kourou in French Guiana in South America.
iii.GSAT 15 will replace two older spacecraft-INSAT 3A and 4B- that will likely expire in the coming months.

1. UNION GOVERNMENT SIGNED LOAN AGREEMENT WITH ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK
i. The Union Government signed 273 million US dollar loan agreement with Asian Development Bank.
ii. The fund is provided for the improvement of  rural roads in the States of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal.
iii.The loan amount will be used to make further investments as well as supporting improved road design, road safety and asset management measures .

2. NUCLEAR CAPABLE AGNI-IV MISSILE SUCCESSFULLY TEST-FIRED
i. Indian Army’s Strategic Forces Command successfully test-fired surface-to-surface Agni-IV missile.
ii.Agni-IV nuclear capable missile was test-fired from Abdul Kalam Island off the Odisha coast.
Iii.Agni-IV is a surface-to-surface missile with Range 4000 km.
iv. Strategic Forces Command is entrusted with the task of handling strategic weapons of the country.

3. UNION GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED E-PATHSHALA, SARANSH, SHAALA SIDDHI PORTALS
i. The Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani launched the e-Pathshala, Saaransh and National Programme on School Standards and Evaluation Framework for web portals and mobile apps.
ii.E-Pathshala is a web portal which will provide educational resources for Students, Teachers, Parents, researchers and it contains textbooks and other e-books.
iii.Shaala Siddhi web portal is a instrument for schools to evaluate their performance in more focused and strategic manner.
iv.Saransh is a tool which allows the schools to identify areas of improvement in students and teachers.

4. PAKISTAN INVITES INDIA FOR ‘KEY AFGHAN MEET’
i. Pakistan has invited India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for a regional conference on Afghanistan, called “Heart of Asia”.
ii.It will provide an opportunity for both India and Pakistan to promote their relations.
iii.The ‘Heart of Asia’ conference will be held in December to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan with particular focus on helping the war-torn country’s economy
iv.The conference will be attended by China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and the UAE etc.

1. ‘WORLD SCIENCE DAY FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT’ OBSERVED ON 10TH NOVEMBER

i. The World Science Day for Peace and Development was observed on 10 November.
ii. The Theme for the day is ‘Science for a Sustainable Future’
iii.The Theme for 2014 World Science Day was Quality Science Education and Ensuring a sustainable future for all.

2. ‘INDIA RE-ELECTED TO UN COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE LAW’
i. India was re-elected by the General Assembly to a six year term on the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law.
ii.The United Nations General Assembly  established the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law on 1966.
Iii.The main purpose of this commission is to promote the progressive harmonization and unification of international trade law.

3. ‘INDEPENDENT COMMISSION ON DOPING IN SPORTS’ SUBMITTED ITS REPORT TO THE WORLD ANTI-DOPING AGENCY
i Independent Commission  on Doping in Sports chaired by Richard Proud submitted its report to the World Anti-Doping Agency  in Vienna, Switzerland.
ii.The commission was formed to investigate the validity of allegations of doping practices and corrupt practices against Russia.
iii. The allegations were based on a documentary titled Top Secret Doping: How Russia makes its Winners that was aired by the news channels.
4. NIGERIA WON 2015 ‘FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP’
i. Nigeria won the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
ii.Nigeria defeated Mali  by 2-0 to win the FIFA U-17.

5. ‘JUSTICE AP SHAH’ APPOINTED AS THE ‘ETHICS OFFICER’ AT BCCI

1. WHO OFFICIALLY DECLARED SIERRA LEONE EBOLA-FREE
i. World Health Organization announced that Sierra Leone is free of the Ebola virus.
ii). Sierra Leone recorded the first Ebola case in May 2014 and total 8704 people were infected due to this virus.
iii). Ebola is a virus, previously known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever and is a rare deadly disease caused by infection with one of the Ebola virus species.
2.   PT. SHIV KUMAR SHARMA HONOURED WITH KALA SHIKHAR AWARD
i). Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma honoured with the Aditya Vikram Birla Kala Shikhar Award for lifetime achievement.
ii). Aditya Vikram Birla Kala Shikhar Puraskaar was instituted by the Sangit Kala Kendra in the memory of Aditya Vikram Birla.
iii). The award is conferred to distinguished artist for their lifetime achievement in the chosen field of the performing and visual arts.
3.   WHAT HAPPENED TO NETAJI? BOOK WRITTEN BY FORMER JOURNALIST ANUJ DHAR RELEASED
i). Book titled What Happened to Netaji? Released by former journalist Anuj Dhar was released.

1.     INDIA-RUSSIA JOINT MILITARY EXERCISE INDRA-2015 STARTED
                 i.      The India-Russia Joint Military Exercise ‘Indra-2015’ has started in Bikaner district of Rajasthan.
               ii.      The aim of the exercise is to ‘Counter Terrorism Operations in Desert Terrain under a United Nations Mandate’
             iii.      The bilateral exercise will boost people to people as well as military to military ties between India and Russia.
2.     INDIAN RAILWAYS WON INDIAN OIL SURJIT HOCKEY TOURNAMENT
                 i.      Indian Railways has won Indian Oil Surjit Hockey tournament for the first time at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar, Punjab.
               ii.      Indian Railways team defeated Indian Oil Mumbai.
             iii.      Surjit Memorial Hockey Tournament is an annual hockey tournament organized by Surjit Hockey Society in the memory of Surjit Singh Randhawa in jalandhar Punjab.
             iv.      Surjit Singh was an Indian field hockey player and was captain of hockey team.
3.     HEENA SIDHU WON GOLD MEDAL AT 13TH ASIAN SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIPS
                 i.      Indian shooter Heena Sidhu has won Gold medal in 10 metre Air Pistol event in women’s category at 13th Asian Shooting Championships held in Kuwait.
               ii.      10m air pistol junior title for women are won by Shri Nivetha with gold medal.
             iii.      Junior skeet men’s competition: Angad Bajwa of India won the individual gold medal.
4.     OFF-SPINNER RAVICHANDRAN ASHWIN FASTEST INDIAN TO REACH 150 TEST WICKETS
              i.         Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin now became the fastest Indian bowler to reach 150 wickets in the Indian test cricket history.

            ii.         The previous record was held by Colin Blythe of England.
