1. ‘INDIA INKED LOAN AGREEMENT’ WITH ADB FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
i. Union Government inked a loan agreement with Asian Development Bank  for US 123.51 million dollars for Infrastructure Development Investment Program.
ii. The loan will be used for upgrading Tourism infrastructure and services in three states Punjab, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
 The fund will be used:
i) For development of places of tourist attractions.
ii) To improve basic tourism facilities and build the capacity of tourism sector agencies and local communities in above three States.
iii) Develop eco-parks and eco-tourism in order to help the states to attract more tourists.

2. GOVERNOR OF MEGHALAYA ‘V. SHANMUGANATHAN’ GETS ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF MANIPUR
i. President Pranab Mukherjee has appointed Governor of Meghalaya V. Shanmuganathan as additional governer of Meghalaya to discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur.
ii. He got additional charge of Manipur after demise of  previous Governor Dr. Syed Ahmed.

3. UNION GOVERNMENT CONSTITUTE ‘EXPERT COMMITTEE’E TO REVIVE UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAM PATTERN
i. Union Government has constituted an expert committee to examine various issues related to UPSC civil services examination.
ii. The committee will be headed by the former IAS officer  B.S. Baswan.
iii. The committee will look into all aspects of civil services examination including age relaxation, eligibility, syllabus and pattern of examination.

4.ASTROSAT’  INDIA’S 1ST SATELLITE FOR ASTRONOMY RESEARCH LAUNCHED
i. Indian Space Research Orgnaisation launched India’s first dedicated satellite for astronomy research, named ASTROSAT.
ii. The satellite was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.
 ASTROSAT will provide information :
i) To understand high energy processes in binary star systems containing neutron stars and black holes.
ii) Study star birth regions and high energy processes in star systems lying beyond our galaxy.
iii) Perform a limited deep field survey of the Universe in the Ultraviolet region.
iv) It carries four X-ray payloads, one UV telescope and a charge particle monitor.
v) ASTROSAT’s life span is five years.

1.’WORLD TOURISM DAY’ OBSERVED ON 27TH SEPTEMBER
i.World Tourism Day  is observed on September 27 to raise awareness about the importance of tourism.
ii. The Theme for world tourism day: “One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities“.
iii.The Theme emphasizes the impact of the tourism sector on economic growth, job creation and development.

2.’GHANGZHOU OPEN’ WOMEN’S DOUBLES TITLE WON BY SANIA MIRZA-MARTINA HINGIS
i.Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis won the Guangzhou Open title of tennis at Guangzhou of China.
ii. Sania has won seventh title of the 2015 season.
iii.Sania and Hinghis have now won six  titles such as Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Wimbledon, the US Open and Guangzhou of lawn tennis.

3. ‘LEVERAGING URBANISATION IN SOUTH ASIA’ REPORT RELEASED BY WORLD BANK
i. World Bank released a report entitled Leveraging Urbanisation in South Asia: Managing Spatial Transformation for Prosperity and Livability.
ii. The report provided diagnostic analysis of urbanization and related economic trends in the South Asia region.
Report with respect to India:
i) 1 in 7 in urban areas live below the poverty line in the country .
ii) Delhi’s air pollution is almost three times higher than in Beijing giving it the dubious distinction of being the world’s most polluted city.
iii) Governments should conduct risk assessments form potential natural hazards especially in cities that lie along the Himalayan range that at risk of earthquakes and heavy inland flooding.

4. ‘IBSF WORLD BILLIARDS CHAMPIONSHIP’ WON BY PANKAJ ADVANI
i. India’s Pankaj Advani has grabbed IBSF World Billiards Championship in Adelaide, Australia.
ii. Pankaj Advani  won  IBSF World title after  defeating Peter Gilchrist of Singapore.
iii. Pankaj Advani  is only player in the world to win world titles in all formats of both, Billiards and Snooker.

1. GOVERNMENT TO DISBURSE ‘ 1, 22,000 CRORE RUPEE’ LOAN UNDER MUDRA SCHEME
i. Union government has set a target of disbursing   1, 22,000 CRORE rupee loan to micro and marginal businesses under MUDRA scheme in current fiscal for the development of country.
ii. Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Bank is a public sector financial institution in India.
iii. It provides loans at low rates to microfinance institutions and non-banking financial institutions which then provide credit to MSME.
iv. Small manufacturing unit, Shopkeepers, Fruits / Vegetable vendors, Artisans are eligible to borrow from MUDRA bank.

2. UNGA ADOPTED ‘NEW GLOBAL AGENDA TO END POVERTY’ BY 2030
i. United Nations General Assembly adopted the new global agenda to end poverty by 2030, for sustainable future.
ii. The new sustainable development agenda with 17 goals was adopted at UN Summit on sustainable development in New York, USA.
iii. Some important agenda’s:  sustainable development, economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection, ending poverty in all its forms, achieve food security; ensure healthy lives, quality education, gender equality, water and sanitation and access to energy.

3. ‘MARS ORBITER MISSION’ COMPLETES 1 YEAR OF MISSION LIFE AROUND MARS
i. India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) spacecraft also known as Mangalyaan has completed one year of the mission life around Mars
ii. It has acquired a large set of data of the red planet using all five payloads mounted on it by completing more than 120 orbits.
iii. To mark first anniversary of MOM, a Mar Atlas mobile application was launched.
iv. The Mar Atlas contains  photos taken at  by the Mars Colour Camera fitted on board of the spacecraft.  
v. Mangalyaan is indigenously designed, built and launched by ISRO in record period of less than two years in 450 crore rupees.

 4. EU IMPOSES ‘ANTI-DUMPING DUTY’ ON INDIAN STEEL PIPES
i. European Union has imposed anti-dumping duty of up to 31.2 per cent on imports of sewage and water steel pipes from India for six months to protect its domestic industry.
ii. It will have negative impact on Indian exporters of these pipes.
iii. Anti-dumping duty is imposed as a counter-measure to protect domestic industry under the multilateral World Trade Organisation (WTO).

5. UNION GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCED ‘PACKAGE OF RS 1000 CRORE’ TO ANDHRA PRADESH
i.  Union Government has announced Special Assistance of 1000 crore rupees to the Andhra Pradesh  for the development projects during the  current financial year .
ii. These funds will be utilised for the development of backward districts and other essential infrastructure of Andhra Pradesh.

6. ‘ARVIND PANAGARIYA’ APPOINTED AS SHERPA FOR G-20
i. The Union Government has decided to appoint Arvind Panagariya as the Sherpa for the 2015 G-20 Summit.
ii. G-20 Summit will take place in Antalya, Turkey in November 2015.
iii. Sherpa means a senior official responsible for preparing the agenda for leaders to consider during the summit.

iv. G-20 was founded in 1999. It is an international forum for the government and central bank governors from 20 major economies. The forum focuses on promoting high-level discussion of policy issues related to the promotion of international financial permanence.

1. WEST BENGAL GOVERNOR KN TRIPATHI GOT ‘ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF TRIPURA’
i.West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi was appointed as  additional Governor of Tripura by the President Pranab Mukherjee.
 ii.Tathagata Roy is the present  Governor of Tripura but he is on leave  so  west Bengal Governer keshari Nath Tripathi got additional charge of Tripura.
Article 153 provides there shall be a Governor for each State but the 7th Constitutional Amendment Act, 1956 provides the right to appoint of same person as governor for two or more states.

 2. ‘SOURAV GANGULY’ APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF CRICKET ASSOCIATION OF BENGAL
i. Former Indian Cricket captain Sourav Ganguly was appointed as the President of Cricket Association of Bengal.
ii. Sourav Ganguly has replaced Jagmohan Dalmiya  after the sudden demise of Dalmiya .

3.EPFO’ GRABBED SKOCH AWARD FOR SMART GOVERNANCE INITIATIVES
i.Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation grabbed the Skoch Award for Smart Governance.
ii.Skoch Smart Governance Award is an initiative recognising top performing government organisations working with the government, operating at local, state and national level.
iii.The award is given in the area of Health, Education, Rural Development, Urban Development, Finance, and Security.
 iv.Employees' Provident Fund Organisation, is a statutory body of the Government of India .It administers  Provident Fund Scheme, Pension Scheme and an Insurance Scheme.

4. ‘STUTI NARAIN’ APPOINTED AS CHAIRPERSON OF NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS
i. Stuti Narain Kacker appointed as the chairperson of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
ii.Stuti Narain kackerwas appointed by the Union Women and Child Development Ministry.
iii. The main aim of the commission is to promote education, child development, elimination of child labour, child psychology, care of neglected, children under the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005.

5. ‘RAHUL RAWAIL’ RESIGNED FROM OSCAR SELECTION JURY
i.Filmmaker Rahul Rawail ‘ resigned from the Oscar Selection Jury
ii.Rahul Rawail gave his  resignationdue to his  differences with chairperson of the Jury Amol Palekar.
iii. The Oscars is an annual American awards ceremony honoring cinematic achievements in the film industry.

1. NITI AAYOG CONSTITUTED ‘T HAQUE EXPERT GROUP ON LAND LEASING’
i) National Institution for Transforming India Aayog constituted an Expert Group on Land Leasing.
ii) The expert group will have 10-member committee which will be headed by T Haque.
iii) The committee will review the existing agricultural laws of states and will suggest appropriate amendments, keeping in view the need to legalise and liberalise land leasing for  agricultural efficiency, equity, occupational diversification, and rapid rural transformation.

ii) It was chaired by the External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj from india and US Secretary of State John Kerry chaired it from us.
iii) The purpose of the dialogue was to ramp up bilateral economic exchange to 500 billion US dollars and enhance regional security.

3. ‘HINDI WRITER DR KAMAL KISHORE’ CONFERRED WITH VYAAS SAMMAN
i) Hindi writer Dr Kamal Kishore Goenka has been conferred with Vyaas Samman for year 2014.
ii) The award is given for his work ‘Premchand ki Kahaniyon ka Kaal Kramanusaar Adhyayan’.
Vyas Samman Award: It was started by the K.K. Birla Foundation in 1991. It is awarded annually for extra ordinary contribution made by writers towards the Hindi language

i) Mukesh Ambani has been named as India’s richest person for ninth consecutive year by forbes with worth of 18.9 billion dollars.

1. ‘INDRA NOOYI AND SHOBHANA BHARTIA’ AWARDED GLOBAL LEADERSHIP AWARD
i) Shobhana Bharatia chairperson of Hindustan Times Group  and PepsiCo CEo Indra Nooyi have been awarded 2015 Global Leadership Award .
 ii) Indra Nooyi and Shobhana Bhartia  were honoured with this award for their roles as top women leaders in the Business world and their commitment for a more inclusive global economy.

2.’ NATIONAL HEALTH PROFILE 2015’ RELEASED BY UNION GOVERNMENT
i)  Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda released the National Health Profile 2015.
ii) It was prepared by the Central Bureau of Health Intelligence.

It provides report about significant progress that has been made by the country for various health outcomes, which is an encouraging signal.
iii) The E-book of National health profile was also released for the first time.
The National Health Profile provides information about demographic, socio-economic, health status and health finance indicators, along with complete information on health infrastructure and human resources in health.

3. ‘WORLD RHINO DAY’ OBSERVED ON 22 SEPTEMBER
i) The World Rhino Day was observed on 22 September.
ii) In India, world Rhino day was observed with all-day awareness programmes at Kaziranga National Park (Assam), Manas National Park (Assam) and Laokhowa Burachapori (Assam).

4. ‘ADB’ LOWERED INDIA’S GROWTH RATE FOR 2016 FROM 7.8% TO 7.4%
i) Asian Development Bank   lowered India’s gross domestic (GDP) growth projections for the fiscal year 2016 to 7.4 percent from 7.8 percent.
ii) Indian economy growth is forecasted at 7.8 percent which is lower than the earlier forecast of 8.2 percent.
iii) The causes for the lowering of growth projections has been the economic slowdown in industrial countries, weak monsoon, and stalled action of some key structural reforms.

 ii) Union Defence Ministry promoted him in recognition of his diligence and dedication in        self-reliance effort for defence combat vehicle systems and sub-systems.
iii) He has been awarded with Scientist of the Year Award 2010.

3. ‘RICHIE RICHARDSON’ APPOINTED TO ELITE PANEL OF ICC MATCH REFEREES
i) The International Cricket Council appointed former West Indies cricket captain Richie     Richardson to the Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.
ii) Richie richardson will replace Sri Lanka’s Roshan Mahanama .

4. ‘INDIAN WUSHU TEAM’ WON 12 MEDALS AT PARS INTERNATIONAL CUP
i) The Indian Wushu team grabbed 12 medals including of one gold,four silver and seven bronze medals at the Fifth International Pars Wushu Cup held in Tehran.
ii) Gold medal is grabbed by L. Budhachandra Singh after defeating Masod Ansari of Iran.

iii) Wushu is an both an exhibition and a full-contact sport derived from traditional Chinese martial arts.

1.’INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE’ OBSERVED ON 21ST SEPTEMBER
i. The International Day of Peace was observed on 21 September in world to mark the efforts of those people who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace.
ii. The theme of International Day of Peace for the year 2015 is ‘Partnerships for Peace- Dignity for All’
iii. The United Nations General Assembly has marked this day to promote the  peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.

2. ‘NEW CONSTITUTION’ ADOPTED BY NEPAL GOVERNMENT
i. Nepal government has adopted new Constitution to mark the country’s transition to a secular and democratic republic.
 ii. President of Nepal Ram Baran Yadav unveiled the new Constitution at a special ceremony in Parliament at Kathmandu.

3. ‘AJAY JAYARAM’ GRABBED SILVER MEDAL IN KOREA OPEN BADMINTON TOURNAMENT
i. India’s badminton player Ajay Jayram grabbed silver medal in 2015 Korea Open Badminton tournament in Men’s singles category.
ii. Gold medal was won by World No. 1 Chen Long of China.
iii. Ajay Jayaram became the first Indian badminton player who grabbed a medal in Korea Open Badminton tournament.

4. SEBASTIAN VETTEL GRABBED 2015 SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX OF FORMULA ONE
i. Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel from Germany grabbed 2015 Singapore Grand Prix of Formula One
ii. The Event was held on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, which is the first street circuit in Asia.
iii. It was his fourth victory in Singapore Grand, earlier he had won in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

5. BCCI PRESIDENT ‘JAGMOHAN DALMIYA’ PASSED AWAY
i. Board of Control for Cricket in India President Jagmohan Dalmiya passed away in  Kolkata, West Bengal.
ii. Jagmohan Dalmiya was  with the BCCI from more than three decades since 1983.
iii. He became BCCI president first time in 2001, second time; he became President of BCCI in March 2015.

iv. He had also served as President of the International Cricket Council (ICC) from 1997 to 2000. He was first Indian and first Asian to head the ICC.

iv. Gujarat has also been awarded for the Best Film Promotion Friendly State/Union territory.
 v. The Best Tourism Film award is given to kerala tourism.
2. ‘SANIA MIRZA & AJINKYA RAHANE’ GOT CRICKET CLUB OF INDIA’S HONORARY LIFE MEMBERSHIP
i. Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and cricketer Ajinkya Rahane were conferred with honorary life membership of Cricket Club of India.
ii. The membership of CCI is a prestigious ownership which is awarded regularly to sportsmen and eminent persons as recognition of their contribution to their respective fields.

3. ‘MARIKO KIPCHUMBA’ GRABBED BEIJING INTERNATIONAL MARATHON 2015
i. Mariko Kipchumba of Kenya grabbed  Beijing International Marathon.
ii. He finished the 42.195-km course in 2 hours 14 minutes and 25 seconds.
iii. Ethiopian women runner Betelhem Cherenet won the title in 2 hours 27 minutes and 31 seconds.

4. ‘METRO MAN E SREEDHARAN’ TO SERVE UN HIGH LEVEL ADVISORY GROUP ON SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT
i. Metro Man Elattuvalapil Sreedharan has been invited to the United Nations’ High Level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport.
ii. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon invited him to serve on UN High Level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport for a period of three years.

iii. He is known for changing the face of public transport in India by launching Konkan Railway and the Delhi Metro projects under his leadership.
