1) FOOD GRAIN PRODUCTION MAY DECLINE BY 3 PERCENT:
Ø  India’s food grain production is expected to decline by 3% to 257.07 million tonnes due to deficient monsoon rain last year.
Ø  Last year’s record production was 265.67 million tonnes whereas for current year it was lowered by 8.5 million tonnes.
Ø  Production of rice, coarse cereals and pulses was lower.
Ø  Report was published by the agriculture Ministry.

Ø  Renowned Telugu producer Daggubati Rama Naidu died at an age of 78, fighting cancer.
