1. DD NEWS MOBILE APP LAUNCHED:
i. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting , Arun Jaitley launched DD News Mobile App.
ii. Arun Jaitley also launched an E-book of ministry of Information and Broadcasting on its initiatives and achievements.
2.   INVESTMENT LIMIT INCREASES FOR FIPB INVESTMENTS:
i.  Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) gave its nod for increase in the investment limit for cases requiring prior approval of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB)
ii. Limit has been raised to 3000 crore Rupees from 2000 crore Rupees.

3. INDIA SINGED MOU WITH IRAN:
i. India and Iran have signed an Inter-Governmental MoU for the development of Chabahar Port in Iran
ii. MoU signed by Minister for Shipping and Road Transport and Highways , Nitin Gadkari and his counterpart Abbas Ahmed Akhoundi.

iii.  Indus trial and commercial Bank of China topped the list for 3rd consecutive year.
Note: SBI has ranked 152, A total of 16 Indian companies are in the list.

1. GOODS AND SERVICES TAX BILL GETS NOD FROM LOK SABHA:
i. LokSabha has passed the Goods and Services Tax Bill
ii.  Goods and Services Tax Bill is expected to boast manufacturing and reduce corruption.
iii. Goods and Services Tax Bill is produced with an aim, ‘One Country, one tax’
Note: Goods and Services Tax Bill is also called Constitution (122ndAmendment) Bill.

2.   AKASH WEAPON SYSTEM INDUCTED INTO INDIAN ARMY:
i. Indian Army has inducted its indigenously developed Akash Weapon System (AWS)
ii. AWS is a surface to air missile
iii.  AWS has a maximum range of 20 kms and is a part of the order of two regiments worth 19000 crore rupees

3. INDIAN ARMY WON FEDERATION CUP:
i. Indian Army has emerged Champions in the 19th Federation Cup National Senior Athletic Championship.
ii. Tamil Nadu Team notched the Second position.
iii. Kerala claimed the overall championship in the women’s category.

4.   GL10 COMPLETED SUCCESSFUL FLIGHT TEST:
i. GL-10 , a ten engine Electric Plane developed successfully by NASA has been flight tested.
ii. GL-10 is a battery powered 10-engine remotely piloted aircraft having 8 electric motors on the wings and 2 electric motors on the tail.
iii. It can take off like a helicopter and fly like an aeroplane.

5. 16TH ANNUAL STATE OF THE WORLD’S MOTHERS REPORT:
i. Save the children released 16th Annual State of the World’s Mother’s report.
ii. The report entitled , ‘The Urban Disadvantage’ was released by Union Minister for Minority affairs, Najma Heptulla.
iii. A total of 179 countries were considered among which Norway topped the chart followed by Finland and Iceland where as Somalia was at lat spot.
Note: India is placed at 140th position among 179 countries.

4. ISRO SUCCESSFULLY TESTED CRYOGENIC ENGINE:
i. Indian space research organization has successfully tested indigenous cryogenic engine ce-20 at mahendragarh, tamil nadu.
ii. Ce-20 has the capacity to pput satellites of upto 4 tonnes in geostationary orbit.
iii.  Prior to the success of ce-20, india could launch satellites of upto 2 tonnes only.

1. ONE BELT, ONE ROAD INITAITIVE BY CHINA’S NDRC:
i. China’s NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission) has released a new action plan One Belt, One Road Initiative.
ii. One Belt, One Road Initiative is taken to establish new routes linking Asia, Europe and Africa.
iii. One Belt, One Road Initiative has two parts:
(i)  Silk Raod Economic Belt (SREB): Linking China to Europe
(ii)  Maritime Silk Road (MSR): Linking China’s port facilities with the African Coast.

2.        1000 RUPEES PENSION SCHEME UNDER EPS TO CONTINUE:
i. Union Government of India has approved the continuation of 1000 Rs monthly pension scheme under Employees pension scheme (EPS).
ii. This move will benefit over 20 lakh pensioners under social security scheme run by EPFO.
iii. This move will cost additionally 850 crore Rs. to the exchequer of the Government.

3. WHITLEY AWARDS FOR WILDLIFE CONSERVATION:
i. Two Indians Dr. Ananda Kumar and Dr. Pramod Patil have won the prestigious whitely awards for their contribution to wildlife conservation.
ii. The awards were presented in a ceremony held in London.
iii. A total of 7 Conservationists were awarded the Whitley Awards for their efforts to protect wildlife in Developing countries.
Note: Whitley Awards are also known as Green Oscar.

4. WTO GETS A NEW MEMBER:
i. World Trade Organization has added Seychelles as its 161st member.
ii. With just 90,000 in habitants, Seychelles has become the smallest member of WTO.
iii. Seychelles has applied for WTO membership on 31st May 1995 but had to wait for 20 years as the country was negotiating its accession terms.
