3. KEROSENE SUBSIDY CAP AT RS 12 PER LITRE:
i. Union Government has decided to cap kerosene
subsidy at Rs. 12 per litre.
ii. At present kerosene is sold through PDS at
14.96 ruppes per litre.
iii. Actual cost of Kerosene is 33.47 rupees

4. RAILWAY LINE UNDER PPP MODEL INAUGURATED IN
GUJARAT:
i. India’s first railway line built under PPP
model inaugurated in Gujarat.
ii. Railway minister, Suresh Prabhu inaugurated
the Broad-Guage railway line between Gandhidham and Tuna-Tekra
port in Gujarat.

SAHNI BECOMES CHAIRMAN OF NARMADA VALLEY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY:

1. INDIA SIGNED MOU WITH GEOGIA:
i. India and Georgia have signed MoU for co-operation in the field of election Management.
ii. The MoU signed by Chief Election Commissioner of India Nasim Zaidi and Chairperson of Central Election Commission of Geogia Tamar Zhavania.
2. ASIA 21 YOUNG LEADERS CLASS OF 2015:
i. Asia 21 young leaders class of 2015 released in New York, USA.
ii. Four Indians were figured in the list.
a. Mishi Choudhary- Executive director of SFLC
b. Manish Dahiya – Executive Director and Global Head of Energy Complex at Noble Group Limited

3. MANMOHAN RAI BECOMES VICE CHIEF OF INDIAN ARMY:
i. Lt General ManMohan Singh Rai appointed as Vice-Chief of Indian Army.
ii. Lt General Manmohan Singh will succeed Lt General Philip Campose.
4. OTP BASED APPLICATION TO E-FILE IMCOME TAX LAUNCHED:
i. Income Tax Department has launched OTP based e-filling verification system for tax payers.
ii. This facility will end the practice of sending paper acknowledgement, called ITRV.
OTP- One Time Password.
5. INTER STATE SENIOR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP 2015:
i. 55th National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship concluded I Tamil Nadu.
ii. Games were organized by the Tamil Nadu Athletics Association.
iii. Kerala topped the table with 177.5 points followed by Haryana.
6. TWO IPL FRANCHISE SUSPENDED FOR 2 YEARS:
i. Two IPL franchise are suspended for 2 years by Justice Lodha Panel.
ii. The two IPL franchise suspended for two years are Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.
iii. Justice RM Lodha headed the panel on IPL Betting scandal 2013.

1. INDIA AND TAJIKISTAN SIGNED 2 AGREEMENTS:
i. India and Tajikistan inked two agreements to strengthen bilateral relations.
ii. The agreements are signed to further strengthen defence cooperation and in the field of culture.
iii. India has agreed to set up computer labs in 31 schools in Tajikistan for supporting human resource and skill development efforts

3. GAGAN SYSTEM LAUNCHED BY UNION CIVIL AVIATION MINISTRY:
i. Union Minister of Civil Aviation, ‘P Ashok Gajapathi Raju’ launched the GAGAN system in New Delhi.
ii. GAGAN- GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation.
iii. GAGAN is India’s first SBAS system and with this India became the fourth Nation after the US, Europe and Japan.
iv. SBAS- Satellite Based Augmentation System.
4. WOMEN’S DOUBLE TITLE IN WIMBLEDON:
i. Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis won Women’s Double title in Wimbledon.
ii. Indo-Swiss pair defeated Russian duo of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in the final match
Note: This is Sania Mirza’s first ever women’s double Grand Slam title.

1. INDIA SINGED MOU WITH USA:
i. India and USA signed MoU on Cooperation to establish PACESetter Fund.
ii. The agreement was signed by Upendra Tripathy, Secretary , Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Richard Verma, United States Ambassador to India.
iii. PACESetter fund is established with a corpus of about 500 crore rupees with both the countries contributing equally.
2. 7TH BRICS SUMMIT:
i. 7th BRICS Summit held in Ufa, Russia.
ii. 7th BRICS Summit held with the theme , ‘ BRICS Partnership- a powerful factor of Global development’.
iii. 6th BRICS summit was held in Fortaleza in Brazil in 2014 and next, 8th Summit will be held in New Delhi.

3. ISRO LAUNCHED 5 SATELLITES:
i. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched 5 British Satellites into Space.
ii. The Satellites were launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta.
4. BANDHAN BANK APPOINTED ITS CHAIRMAN AND BOARDS OF DIRCTOR:
i. Kolkata based Bandhan Bank appointed its Chairman and Boards of Director
ii. Ashok Kumar Lahiri is appointed as the Chairman of the Bandhan Bank.
iii. Founder of Bandhan financial Services Ltd, Chandra Shekhar Ghosh is appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.
