1. ‘LEWIS HAMILTON’ GRABBED 2015 US GRAND PRIX
i. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton of Britain grabbed 2015 United States Grand Prix title of Formula One.
ii. Earlier he had won Australia, China, Bahrain, Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, Japanese and Russian 2015 Grand Prix titles.
iii. Lewis Hamilton has won highest number of titles as compared to any other British driver in the history of Formula 1.

2. ‘REDUCING GLOBAL HEALTH RISKS’ REPORT RELEASED BY WHO
i. The World Health Organization released a report titled Reducing global health risks through mitigation of short-lived climate pollutants.
ii. The report recommends the need to reduce short-lived climate pollutants like black carbon, ozone, methane and carbon dioxide that contribute to climate change.
iii. The report recommends that countries, health and environment ministries, and cities can take steps to reduce emissions, protect health and avoid illness and premature deaths.

3. ‘DOORDARSHAN’ EMERGED AS ‘MOST WATCHED HINDI CHANNEL’
i. Doordarshan has emerged as the most-watched Hindi channel in terms of time spent per viewer ahead of top General Entertainment Channels.
ii. Doordarshan has registered an Average Time Spent of 51 Min per viewer, which was highest among Hindi General Entertainment Channels.

4. INDIA ANNOUNCED ‘1ST AC DOUBLE-DECKER SHATABDI TRAIN’
i. The Ministry of Railways announced that India’s first AC double-decker Shatabdi train will run between Mumbai and Goa route.
ii. The proposed train between Mumbai and Goa will cater to growing demand by tourists that come to Goa from all over the world.

5.SIN TAX TO BE IMPOSED ON ALCOHOL, TOBACCO’ DURING GST REGIME
i. Sin Tax has been included under the proposed Goods and Services Tax law.

1. ‘ABHISHEK VERMA WON SILVER MEDAL’ IN ARCHERY WORLD CUP FINAL
i. Indian archer Abhishek Verma created history by winning a silver medal in the Archery World Cup in Mexico City.
ii. He has became the first ever Indian to bag Archery World Cup Final medal.

2. SURESH ARORA APPOINTED AS ‘NEW DGP OF PUNJAB’
i. The Punjab Government has appointed Suresh Arora, as the Director General of Police.
ii. The appointment came after the government removed Sumedh Singh Saini from the post of DGP.
iii.Suresh Arora has played a pivotal role in fighting terrorism.
iv. Sumedh singh Saini was removed from the post due people's anger towards the police after two Sikhs were killed in a protest against the sacrilege of holy books in Faridkot's Behbalkalan village on 14 October 2015.

3. SOUTH AFRICA GRABBED 1ST EVER BILATERAL ODI SERIES IN INDIA
i. South Africa won the five-match One Day International series against India 3-2.
ii. This was South Africa’s first ever bilateral ODI series win on India.
iii. South Africa defeated India by 214 runs, which was India’s second biggest ODI loss in terms of runs.

4. DEFENCE MINISTRY APPROVED INDUCTION OF ‘WOMEN AS IAF FIGHTER PILOTS’
i. Union Government has approved induction of women into the Fighter branch of Indian Air Force.
ii. Now women are eligible to get inducted in all branches and streams of the Air Force.

1. UNION GOVERNMENT IMPOSED ‘ANTI-DUMPING DUTY ON CHINESE AUTO PARTS’
i. The Union Finance Ministry has imposed anti-dumping duties on imported Chinese auto parts for a period of five years.
ii. The Anti-dumping duty is used by a country under the multilateral World Trade Organisation to protect its domestic producers and market from below-cost/cheap imports.
iii. Anti dumping duty can be imposed for a maximum period of 5 years.

2. ‘FIRST WORLD INDIGENOUS GAMES’ STARTED IN PALMAS
i. First World Indigenous Games has been started in the northern Brazilian city of Palmas.
ii.The opening ceremony of the multi-sport event was attended by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
iii.It is first of its kind of international multi-sport event that will involve around 2000 indigenous athletes belonging to different indigenous ethnic groups from 30 countries.
iv. These Games will include sports events like archery, canoeing, spear tossing and a race through the forest.

3. INDIAN MOUNTAINEERS NAMED AN UNTOUCHED ‘MOUNTAIN PEAK AS APJ ABDUL KALAM’
i. Mountaineers Arjun Vajpai and Bhupesh Kumar created history by becoming first people to climb unnamed peak in Himachal’s Spiti Valley.
ii. They named the peak as Mout Kalam, in honour of former President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam.

4. ‘ASHWINI KUMAR’ HONORARY MEMBER OF IOC PASSED AWAY
i. Ashwini Kumar  honorary member of International Olympic Committee passed away.
ii. He was 94 years old.
iii. He was the President of the Indian Basketball Federation and President of the Punjab Olympic Association for 12 years.

5. PRESIDENT OF ZIMBABWE ‘ROBERT MUGABE’ AWARDED WITH’ 2015 CONFUCIUS PEACE PRIZE’
i. President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe honoured with the 2015 Confucius Peace Prize by China.
ii. He was honoured for Injecting fresh energy into the global quest for harmony.
iii. The prize was started in 2010 by China and It is given for promoting peace in  world.
