i. Jitu Rai  an Indian shooter grabbed the 50m pistol gold at the ISSF World Cup Bangkok.

2. TCS CHIEF N CHANDRASEKARAN APPOINTED TO BOARD OF RESERVE BANK
i.Tata Consultancy Services CEO and managing director Natarajan Chandrasekaran is appointed as non-official directors to the board of Reserve Bank of India.
ii. The Appointments is made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
iii.He also appointed Sudhir Mankad with Bharat Narotam Doshi, as the third part-time non-official director on the central board of the bank.

3. CHAPCHAR KUT FESTIVAL CELEBRATED ACROSS MIZORAM

i. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has selected Nagepur village in his Varanasi Constituency of Lok Sabha under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana .
ii. Earlier he had adopted Jayapur village in Sevapuri Assembly segment of Varanasi in 2014
iii. Nagepur village is mainly dominated by backward castes has been selected under the second phase of the Yojana. 
iv.Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana  encourages Members of Parliament from both Houses to identify and develop one village from their constituency as a model village.

1. RAISINA DIALOGUE 2016 STARTED AT NEW DELHI
i. The first Raisina Dialogue 2016 a conference on Geopolitics and Geo-economics began in New Delhi.
ii. Theme of the Raisina-Dialogue 2016 is “Asia: Regional and Global Connectivity”.
iii.It will promote Asia’s economic, human, physical and digital connectivity ,discover challenges and opportunities for the development.
iv.It will be attended by 40 countries .
v.The name of conference comes from Raisina Hill which is the elevation in New Delhi where presidential palace of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan is located.

2. PRESIDENT PRANAB MUKHERJEE INAUGURATES NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WOMEN LEGISLATION
i. President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated a National conference on ‘Women Legislators: Building Resurgent India’ in New Delhi.
ii. The conference is started with an aim of motoivating the skills of legislators to perform their legislative and non-legislative roles with greater effectiveness.
iii.It will also bring together women union ministers, chief ministers, MPs and eminent women from the judiciary and the bureaucracy.

3. MANOJ KUMAR TO BE CONFERRED DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD
i.Film Actor and Director Manoj Kumar has been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2015.
ii. Manoj Kumar is known for his famous films such as Patthar Ke Sanam, Upkaar, Neel Kamal, Purab Aur Paschim, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, and Kranti.
iii. Dadasaheb Phalke Award is given by the Union Government for  outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema.

4. SIRSHENDU DE SELECTED FOR INNOVATION AWARD 2016 FOR DEVELOPING LATERITE BASED ARSENIC WATER FILTER
i. Professor Sirshendu De from Chemical Engineering department of the IIT, Kharagpur was honoured with the innovation award.
ii.He was selected for the award for developing an ultra low-cost eco-friendly laterite based arsenic water filter.
iii.The will provide safe drinking water in areas contaminated with arsenic.

5. INDIA WINS 2016 ASIA CUP T20 TROPHY
i. India has grabbed the 2016 Asia Cup T20 after defeating Bangladesh.
ii. 2016 Asia Cup title was held in Bangladesh from 24 February to 6 March 2016.
iii.It was participated by India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates.

6. PATNA PIRATES WINS 3RD SEASON OF PRO KABADDI LEAGUE
i.Patna Pirates has won the third season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League after defeating U Mumba.
ii.Patna Pirates defeated U Mumba in New delhi.
iii. Pro Kabaddi League is a professional Kabaddi league based on the format of the Indian Premier League T20 cricket tournament.

7. SBI GRANTED OPERATING LICENCE BY MYANMAR
i State Bank of India has been granted preliminary approval to operate Myanmar.
ii.The  licence  was given by Myanmar Government along with three other Asian banks.
iii.The Banks are Investment and Development of Vietnam, Sun Commercial Bank of Taiwan and Shinhan Bank of South Korea.

iv.Myanmar has granted licenses for foreign banks to open business in the country in the hope of rebuilding the  country’s economy as it  become one of Asia’s poorest.
