1. UNION CABINET EXTENDS THE DEADLINE OF UDAY SCHEME
i. The Union Cabinet has approved the extension of the deadline for implementing the Ujjwal Discom Assurance Yojana by a year to March 31, 2017.
ii. It is considered as a important step for providing 24X7 affordable and environment-friendly Power for All.
iii. The Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana  is the scheme for providing  financial assistance and revival package for electricity distribution companies of India.

2.  FM ARUN JAITLEY TO VISIT CHINA TO ATTEND AIIB ANNUAL MEET
i. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is on a five-day visit to China to attend AIIB annual meet starting from 23rd of June.
ii. He will attend the first annual meeting of the board of governors.
iii. Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank was started with corpus of  100-billion US dollar.

1. CENTRE APPROVES A PROPOSAL FOR GREENFIELD ELECTRONIC PARK IN ODISHA
i. The department of electronics and information technology  government of India has given its final approval for setting up of a greenfield electronic park in Bhubaneswar.
ii. The money will be spent on creating a common infrastructure for about 100 units to be housed within the park.
iii. The park will provide common facilities for training, incubation and R & D activities to the interested entrepreneurs.

2. BCCI SUSPENDS GOA CRICKET ASSOCIATION OFFICIALS FOR MISAPPROPRIATION OF ORGANIZATION FUNDS
i. The BCCI has  suspended and issued show-cause notices to the top Goa Cricket Association officials for alleged misappropriation of organization funds.
ii. GCA president Chetan Desai and secretary Vinod Phadke, were arrested for alleged misappropriation of Rs 3.13 crorefunds.

3.  ISRO LAUNCHES RECORD 20 SATELLITES IN A MISSION
i. The Indian Space Research Organisation has launched a record 20 satellites in a single mission from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
ii. The launch has been made by using Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C-34, carrying India’s latest earth observation satellite Cartosat-2 .
iii. ISRO has beaten its previous record of placing 10 satellites into orbit in a single mission in 2008.
iv. Russia holds the world record for placing the most number of satellites in a single launch.

4. SCO SUMMIT TO BEGIN TOMORROW IN TASHKENT
i. A two-day meeting of heads of state of Shanghai Cooperation Organization under the presidency of Uzbekistan will begin tomorrow in Tashkent.
ii. The organization was founded in 1996 after the inclusion of Uzbekistan in 2001 and headquartered in Beijing, China.
iii. The issue will discuss the meeting on strengthening stability and security in Central Asia.
iii. During the summit, India and Pakistan will sign a memorandum of obligation for obtaining SCO member states status.

5. AADHAAR TO BE LINKED WITH CASTE, DOMICILE CERTIFICATES
i. The Centre has asked all the states to link Aadhaar card of school students to their caste and domicile certificate.
ii. The government has reportedly taken the decision following complaints stating that SC-ST students were facing delays in getting their scholarship.

6. JAITLEY RELEASES SILVER COIN TO MARK MARTYRDOM DAY OF BANDA SINGH BAHADUR                                                                                            
i. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has released a commemorative silver coin to mark the 300th martyrdom day of Sikh General Banda Singh Bahadur.
ii. Banda Singh, who was born in 1670 in Rajouri, was given the title of Bahadur by 10th Sikh Guru Guru Gobind Singh.
iii. He was appointed by Guru Gobind Singh as his deputy and military lieutenant.
iv. Banda Singh Bahadur assembled a fighting force and led the struggle against the Mughal Empire.

7.  MORI VILLAGE IN ANDHRA PRADESH CHOSEN FOR DEVELOPMENT AS SMART VILLAGE
