1.      CWG 2018 CONCLUDES: IMPORTANT INDIAN HIGHLIGHTS
i. India finished third in the medals tally at the Commonwealth Games 2018 with 66 medals (26 Gold, 20 Silver and 20 Bronze).
ii.  Australia topped the list  with 198 medals and England with 136 .
iii. India's maximum medals came from shooting (16), followed by wrestling (12) and weightlifting (9).

2.      KIDAMBISRIKANTH WINS HIS 1ST CWG SILVER
i. World number one Indian shuttlerKidambiSrikanth won his career's first Commonwealth Games singles Silver medal.
ii. In the final, the 25-year-old Indian lost to Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei, who won his career's third Commonwealth Games singles gold medal.
iii.Three Indian shuttlers have won CWG men's singles title– PrakashPadukone (1978), Syed Modi (1982) and ParupalliKashyap (2014).


3.      SAINANEHWAL WINS HISTORIC 2ND CWG GOLD
i. ShuttlerSainaNehwal defeated world number three PV Sindhu in the first-ever all-Indian women's singles final at the Commonwealth Games.
ii.Nehwal claimed her second Commonwealth Games singles gold medal after having won it at the 2010 Delhi Games.
iii.SainaNehwal is the only Indian female badminton player to win singles gold in Commonwealth Games history.

4.      CWG 2018: COMPLETE LIST OF ALL THE MEDALS WON BY INDIA
i. India finished third in the medals tally at the Commonwealth Games 2018, courtesy 66 medals including 26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze medals.
ii. Australia with 198 medals (80 Gold, 59 Silver and 59 Bronze) topped the chart and England with 136 Medals (45 Gold, 45 Silver and 46 Bronze) stood second.

i. swimmer Sampanna Ramesh Shelar has set a world record to double cross the Bangla Channel.
ii. Shelar, is the first person to swim to and fro from Saint Martin's Island Jetty to Teknaf in Bangladesh also known as the Bangla Channel.
iii.He has completed the journey of 32.2 kilometres in 9 hours and 10 minutes.
