1. AN OVERVIEW OF 64TH FILM FARE AWARDS 2019
The 64th Filmfare Awards 2019 was held at Jio Garden, Mumbai. The event was hosted by Bollywood’s leading Actors, Directors, Musicians and Singers.
Best Film award won by Raazi, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) won by Ranbir Kapoor (Sanju), Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) won by Alia Bhatt (Raazi) and Best Director won by Meghna Gulzar (Raazi).

2. JUSTICE PK MISHRA APPOINTMENT AS ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE OF CHHATTISGARH HC AND AND AK TRIPATHI APPOINTMENT AS MEMBER OF LOKPAL
Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court A K Tripathi resigned from the post after he got appointed as the Member of the Lokpal and P K Mishra appointed as acting Chief Justice.

3. IN THE INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE, CHENNAI SUPER KINGS BATSMAN SURESH RAINA MADE A NEW RECORD TO SURPASS 5,000 RUNS
Suresh Raina, a batsman of Chennai Super Kings became the first batsman to make a record by surpassing 5,000 runs in the Indian Premier League in Chennai. Now Virat Kohli who has 4,954 runs needs 51 runs to become the leading run-scorer in the IPL.

4. FORMER WORLD NUMBER 6 BADMINTON PLAYER JOACHIM PERSSON BANNED OVER MATCH-FIXING
35 year old Badminton player Joachim Persson of Denmark was banned for 18 months by the Badminton World Federation for match-fixing. He was ordered to pay $4,500.

5. NAVIN CHAWLA’S NEW BOOK TITLED ‘EVERY VOTE COUNTS’ WAS LAUNCHED BY FORMER VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA, HAMID ANSARI
Former Chief Election Commissioner of India Navin Chawla’s book ‘Every Vote Counts’ was launched by former Vice President of India, Hamid Ansari in New Delhi.
This book is about how the electoral machinery works in India. The book has been published by HarperCollins India.

6. MARCH 24 OBSERVED AS WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY
World Tuberculosis Day was observed on March 24 to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis.
The theme for World Tuberculosis Day 2019 is ‘Its time’ which will draw the attention of the global leaders towards the immediate need to end the global epidemic tuberculosis.
World Health Organization and the Global Fund and Stop TB launched a joint initiative ‘Find. Treat. All #End TB’ on the World TB day.
