1. UNDER PMKSNY, MORE THAN 7 CRORE 32 LAKH FARMER FAMILIES RECEIVED FIRST TWO INSTALMENTS OF RS 2000 EACH
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, more than 7 crore 32 lakh farmer families across India received the first and second instalments of Rs 2000 each amounting to 14 thousand 646 crore rupees.
The list was topped by Uttar Pradesh followed by Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

2. MAHARASHTRA TOPS IN ATM FRAUDS: RBI
According to the data of the RBI Maharashtra registered the highest number of ATM frauds in India for the FY 2018-19. It was followed by Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
There was an increase in ATM fraud cases up from 911 cases in 2017-18 to 980 in 2018-19.
The amount involved was decreased from Rs 65.3 crore in 2017-18 to Rs 21.4 crore in 2018-19.
Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura were the only three states which did not report a single incident.


3. ANDHRA PRADESH BECAME THE FIRST STATE IN INDIA TO RESERVE 75% PRIVATE JOBS FOR LOCALS
Andhra Pradesh has become the first state in the country to reserve jobs for locals. The Andhra Pradesh Assembly passed the Andhra Pradesh Employment of Local Candidates in Industries/Factories Act, 2019.
Industries/Factories Act, 2019 reserves 75% private jobs across all categories in industrial units, factories, joint ventures as well as the project that are in public-private partnership (PPP) mode.

4. NAM MINISTERIAL MEETING WAS HELD IN CARACAS, VENEZUELA
The Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement was held in Caracas, Venezuela.
The theme is “Promotion and Consolidation of Peace through Respect for International Law”.
India was represented by Syed Akbaruddin, Indian envoy to the United Nations.
The presidency of NAM which was held by Venezuela since 2016 will be passed to Azerbaijan in October 2019.

5. BORIS JOHNSON ANNOUNCED AS BRITAIN’S NEXT PRIME MINISTER
Boris Johnson will replace Theresa May as Britain’s next Prime Minister.
Boris Johnson, who was the face of the 2016 Brexit referendum, won the votes of 92,153 members of the Conservative party.

6. SCIENTISTS BUILD RAMANUJAN MACHINE IN HONOR OF THE INDIAN MATHS GENIUS.
Researchers from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology have created an algorithm rather than a machine called Ramanujan Machine to honor the prominent and path-breaking mathematicians of the 20th century.
The Machine attempts to automatically generate conjectures in the form of mathematical formulas that we can analyze, and hopefully, prove to be true mathematically.

7. OVERVIEW OF COMMONWEALTH TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2019
The 21st Edition of the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships for the year 2019 was held from at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack, Odisha.
Medal tally topped by India followed by England and Singapore.
  • Men’s Singles won by Harmeet Desai (India) defeating G Sathiyan (India).
  • Women’s Singles won by Ayhika Mukherjee (India) defeating Madurika Patkar (India).
  • Men’s Doubles won by Anthony Amalraj & Manav Thakkar (India) defeating G Sathiyan and Sharath Kamal (India).
  • Women’s Doubles won by Pooja Sahasrabudhe & Krtittwika Sinha Roy (India) defeating Sreeja Akula & Mousumi Paul (India).
  • Mixed Doubles won by Sathiyan Gnanasekaran & Archana Kamath (India) defeating Peng Yu En Koen & Goi Rui Xuan (Singapore).

8. NIGERIA SET TO HOST 2020 FIFA WOMEN U-20 WORLD CUP
Federation of International Football Federation has awarded FIFA under 20 Women World Cup 2020 hosting right to Nigeria after 10 years.
India named the 2020 U17 Women’s World Cup host.
The last FIFA event held in Nigeria was the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which was won by Switzerland.

9. ADAM PEATY BECOMES A 1ST MAN TO SWIM UNDER 57 SEC IN THE 100M BREASTSTROKE
British competitive swimmer Adam George Peaty has broken his own world record in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke at the World Aquatics Championships 2019 held in Gwangju, South Korea.
The 2016 Olympic champion won World Championships semi-final with 56.88sec becomes a 1st man to swim under 57 sec shattered the previous record of 57.10 sec he set at 2018 European Championships.

10. THE U.S. CELEBRATES THE 50-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ‘APOLLO 11’ HUMAN MOON LANDING MISSION
The U.S. celebrated Apollo 11 human moon landing mission. Thousands of model rockets have been launched in Huntsville, Alabama to mark the 50th anniversary.
US space agency NASA celebrated the moment astronauts landed on the moon for the first time 50 years ago, replaying online the original moon landing broadcast from July 20, 1969.
