1.         ‘WINGS INDIA 2020’
ü  Wings India 2020, an international exhibition and conference on civil aviation sector, will be held at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad, Telangana from March 12-15, 2020. The theme of the event is “Flying for all”. 

2.        NATIONAL CYBER CRIME REPORTING PORTAL
ü  National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal was dedicated to the Nation  by  Amit Shah in New Delhi. He also inaugurated Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) during the event.
Also National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal 
www.cybercrime.gov.in portal was launched on August 30,2019 which helps the citizens of the Nation to report cyber crimes through online.


3.        GLOBAL INVESTOR MEET ASCEND 2020
ü  Global Investors Meet ASCEND 2020 was held in Kochi, Kerala .Inaugurated by the CM of Kerala PinarayiVijayan and was organised by states Department of Industries. Totally Rs 1 lakh crore worth investment proposals were received.

4.        CENTRAL GOVT RAISED INDIA OVERSEAS BANK’S AUTHORIZED CAPITAL
ü  Central govt in consultation with the RBI has announced an increase in the authorized capital of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) to Rs 25,000 crores from the previous authorized capital of Rs. 15,000 crores, thus making an increase by Rs. 10,000 crores.

5.        IEA’S INDIA 2020 ENERGY POLICY REVIEW
ü  According to the report, ‘India 2020 Energy Policy Review’ which covers the key energy sectors of oil, natural gas and electricity and identify the main energy security issues, released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) in collaboration with NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog, India will overtake China by mid-2020 in terms of crude oil demand growth.

6.        NOMINATION FOR ‘WORLD GAMES ATHLETE OF THE YEAR’, 2019
ü  Rani Rampal from Haryana,India the captain of the Indian women’s hockey team has been nominated for the “World Games Athlete of the Year”award, 2019 by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). Rani was instrumental in India qualifying for the first time in back-to-back olympic games.

7.      LCA TEJASLANDS ON INS VIKRAMADITYA
ü  LCATejas has made a successful landed on the India’s biggest warship INS Vikramaditya. For the first time an indigenous fighter aircraft has been landed on an aircraft carrier.
India becomes sixth nation to master the art of an arrested landing and ski-jump take off on the deck of a carrier after Russia, the United States (US), France, the United Kingdom (UK)and China.

8.        ‘YASHASWINI SCHEME’
ü  SmritiIrani launched Yashaswini scheme for Women entrepreneurship at DrShyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium in Taleigao town near Panaji district of Goa. SwasthyaSakhi Project and breast cancer screening initiative were also inaugurated on the occasion.
Under the Yashaswini scheme, interest free loans up to Rs. 5 lakhs with a tenure of five years will be given to women self-help groups by the state government of Goa.


9.        TEHRAN DIALOGUE FORUM
ü  India participated in the Tehran Dialogue Forum, the 23rd Persian Gulf International Conference held in Tehran, Iran.During the forum, India supported the Hormuz Peace initiative 2020.The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the Persian Gulf region under the ‘Hormuz Peace Endeavor’ (HOPE), proposed by Tehran at the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 2019.

10.     POLLY UMRIGAR AWARD
ü  TheBCCI Annual Awards were presented in 25 different categories for the 2018-19 season.
ü  JaspritBumrah has received the highest prize of Indian cricket –Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer (2018-19) in men’s category.Alsoformer India captains KrishnamachariSrikkanth and Anjum Chopra were awarded the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award and the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for women respectively.

11.     NEW PM OF MALTA
ü  Malta’s governing party has elected a new leader Robert Abela of Labour Party as 14th prime minister of Malta. He replaces Joseph Muscat, who resigned over the murder of a journalist, Daphne CaruanaGalizia.

12.     TAIWAN’S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
ü  Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen has won the presidential election for second time with 57.1% of total votes. She belongs to Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). She defeated Han Kuo-yu of the rival Nationalist Party.

13.     NEW RULER OF OMAN
ü  Haitham bin Tariq Al Said was appointed as the new ruler of the Oman after the death of Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said who ruled the country from 1970.

14.     TWO COAST GUARD SHIPS  COMMISSIONED
ü  Indian Coast Guard Ships (ICGS) namely Annie Besant and AmritKaur were commissioned and deployed along the eastern coast by Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar at Khidderporepark, Kolkata.
The two ICG fast patrol vessels designed and manufactured by the Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd., (GRSE) kolkata, West Bengal.

15.     1ST ATP CUP 2020

16.     Novak Djokovic has defeated Rafael Nadal of Spain to make Serbia the champion of 1st edition of ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) Cup 2020 held at Sydney, Australia.

17.     NATIONAL YOUTH DAY IS-JANUARY 12, 2020
ü  The National Youth Day is observed to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. National Youth is also famously known as YuvaDiwas. The Theme of  National Youth Day 2020 is “Channelizing Youth Power for Nation Building”.
ü  PM Modi Visits Belur Math:
PM Modi visited Belur Math, the headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission in Howrah district of West Bengal to mark the 157th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
