1.       TRILATERAL MARITIME EXERCISE ‘SITMEX-21’

·            The 3rd edition of India, Singapore and Thailand Trilateral Maritime Exercise SITMEX-21 was held in Andaman Sea as a ‘non-contact, at sea only’ exercise in view of COVID-19 restrictions.

·            It was hosted by the Royal Thai Navy (RTN).

 

2.       INDIA’S FIRST FOOD MUSEUM LAUNCHED IN THANJAVUR,TN

·            Union Minister, Piyush Vedpraksh Goyal virtually launched India’s first Digital Food Museum in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu (TN).

·            It is 1,860-sqft museum  co-developed by Food Corporation of India (FCI) and Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museums, Bengaluru (Karnataka)

·            Thanjavur is the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu.

 

3.       INDIA FRANCE JOINT MILITARY EXERCISE EX-SHAKTHI 2021

·            The 6th edition of India-France joint military exercise ‘EX-SHAKTI 2021’ commenced at the southeastern French port town of Frejus , France.

·            EX-SHAKTI is a biennial training exercise which is conducted alternatively in India and France.

 

4.       UN APPOINTS UN RESIDENT COORDINATOR IN INDIA

·            The United Nations (UN) Secretary General, Antonio Guterres appointed Shombi Sharp of the United States (US), a sustainable development expert, as the UN Resident Coordinator in India.

·            He will lead the UN team in India, and work towards India’s Covid-19 response plans to recover better for the Sustainable Development Goals.

 

5.       INDIA’S 41ST SCIENTIFIC EXPEDITION TO ANTARCTICA

·            India’s Ministry of Earth Sciences launched the 41st Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica (41st ISEA) 

·            The first batch of 23 scientists (total 48) and support staff has reached the Indian Antarctic station Maitri.

 

6.       BOOK “SHUTTLER’S  FLICK: MAKING EVERY MATCH COUNT”

·            A Book titled ‘’Shuttler’s Flick: Making Every Match Count’’ co-authored by  Pullela Gopichand & Priya Kumar and released.

·            Pullela Gopichand was born on November 6, 1973.

·            He won the All England Open Badminton Championship in 2001 becoming the second Indian to achieve this victory after Prakash Padukone.
