1.   HARYANA LAUNCHED A NEW SCHEME FOR GIRLS:

Ø Haryana government launched a new scheme, “Aapki Beti, Hamari Beti” for girls.

Ø Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar launched the scheme, “Aapki Beti, Hamari Beti” to improve the sex ratio in the state.

Ø BENEFITS OF THE SCHEME:

Ø Every first girl child born on or after January 22, 2015 in SC and BPL families will get Rs. 21000.

Ø Every second girl child born on or after January 22, 2015 of all families will get Rs. 21000.

Ø The amount of INDIRA GANDHI MAHILA SHAKTI AWARD is increased from 1lakh to 1.5lakhs.

Ø The amount of Behan Shanno Devi Award is increased from Rs. 51000 to 1lakh.

Ø The amount of life time achievement award is increased from Rs. 21000 to Rs. 51000.

Ø The plane took off from Abu Dhabi and  

will make two stops in India,

Ahmedabad in Gujarat and

Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.

4.   INDIA LAUNCHES FIRST INDIGENOUS ROTAVIRUS VACCINE:

Ø Prime Minister, Narendra Modi unveiled the indigenously developed and manufactured Rotavirus vaccine by India.

Ø 3-Dose ROTAVAC vaccine is developed with the collaboration between India and the United States.

Ø ROTAVAC vaccine is developed to cure rotavirus diarrhea, which is very common in India.
