1. BIRTH CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS OF RANI GAIDINLIU, INAUGURATED BY PM NARENDRA MODI
i.  Birth Centenary celebration of Freedom Fighter Rani Gaidinliu inaugurated by Pm Narendra Modi.
ii.  She was a political and spiritual leader
iii.  She led a revolt against British Colonial rule in India.
iv.  PM Narendra Modi launched Commemorator Coin of Rs 100 rupees and circulation of Rs 5 coin of Rani Ganidinlin to mark her birth anniversary.

2. ‘SEHAT’ LAUNCHED BY UNION GOVERNMENT
i.   Union Government has launched Telemedicine initiative ‘SEHAT’ to promote health care facilities in rural areas.
ii.  It was launched by union Telecom minister Communication and IT Ravi Shankar Parsad
iii.  SEHAT is launched in collaboration with appolo hospital
iv.  SEHAT will provide health consultation on Tele communication and through Video Link
      Union Health Minister – J P Nadda

3.  UNION GOVERNMENT HAS ANNOUNCED DRONACHARYA, DHYAN CHAND AND RATRYA KHEL PROTSAHAN PURUSKAR AWARD 2015:


DRONACHARYA AWARD 2015
i) Naval Singh- Athletics Para-sports coach.
ii) Anoop Singh– Wrestling coach.
iii) Harbans Singh- Athletics coach.
iv) Swatantar Raj Singh- Boxing coach.
v) Nihar Ameen- Swimming coach.
DHYAN CHAND AWARD 2015
i) Romeo James– Hockey.
ii) Shiv Prakash Mishra- Tennis.
iii) P.P Nair– Volleyball.
RASHTRIYA KHEL PROTSAHAN PURUSKAR 2015
i) Directorate General of Military Training (DGMT) – for identifying and nurturing of young talent in sports.
ii) Coal India Limited (CIL) – for encouraging sports through Corporate Social Responsibility.
iii) Haryana State Police- For employing sportspersons and sports welfare measures.
iv) Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) - For development of sports.

4. INDIA TO EXECUTE ‘SENDAI FRAMEWORK FOR DISASTER REDUCTION ‘
i.  Union Government has announced to execute the Sendai Framework for Disaster Reduction 2015-2030 in letter and spirit.
ii.  The Sendai framework for disaster Risk reduction 2015-2030 was adopted during the third UN world Conference on disaster risk reduction held in Sendai, Japan in march 2015.
The Sendai framework: It is a 15 year Voluntary non binding agreement which recognizes that the state has the primary role to reduce disaster risk but that responsibility should be shared with other stakeholders including local government, the private sector and other stakeholders.
