1. NEPAL DECLARED ‘COW’ AS NATIONAL ANIMAL
i) Nepal declared Cow as the National Animal
of Nepal.
ii) Nepal president Ram Baran Yadav unveiled
new constitution of Nepal.
iii) Hindu religion consider cow as a sacred
animal and Nepal is a Hindu country.
2.’DR. P SIVAKUMAR’ ELEVATED AS DISTINGUISHED SCIENTIST BY UNION
DEFENCE MINISTRY
i)
Union defence Ministry elevated Dr. P Sivakumar as Distinguished Scientist.
ii) Union
Defence Ministry promoted him in recognition of his diligence and dedication
in self-reliance effort for
defence combat vehicle systems and sub-systems.
iii) He has been awarded with Scientist of
the Year Award 2010.
3. ‘RICHIE RICHARDSON’ APPOINTED TO ELITE PANEL OF ICC MATCH
REFEREES
i) The International Cricket Council
appointed former West Indies cricket captain Richie Richardson to the Elite Panel of ICC Match
Referees.
ii) Richie richardson will replace Sri
Lanka’s Roshan Mahanama .

‘INDIAN WUSHU TEAM’ WON 12 MEDALS AT PARS INTERNATIONAL CUP
i) The Indian Wushu team grabbed 12 medals
including of one gold,four silver and seven bronze medals at the Fifth
International Pars Wushu Cup held in Tehran.
ii) Gold medal is grabbed by L. Budhachandra
Singh after defeating Masod Ansari of Iran.
iii) Wushu is an both an exhibition and a
full-contact sport derived from traditional Chinese martial arts.
