1. ‘INDRA NOOYI AND SHOBHANA BHARTIA’ AWARDED GLOBAL LEADERSHIP AWARD
i) Shobhana Bharatia chairperson of Hindustan Times Group  and PepsiCo CEo Indra Nooyi have been awarded 2015 Global Leadership Award .
 ii) Indra Nooyi and Shobhana Bhartia  were honoured with this award for their roles as top women leaders in the Business world and their commitment for a more inclusive global economy.

2.’ NATIONAL HEALTH PROFILE 2015’ RELEASED BY UNION GOVERNMENT
i)  Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda released the National Health Profile 2015.
ii) It was prepared by the Central Bureau of Health Intelligence.

It provides report about significant progress that has been made by the country for various health outcomes, which is an encouraging signal.
iii) The E-book of National health profile was also released for the first time.
The National Health Profile provides information about demographic, socio-economic, health status and health finance indicators, along with complete information on health infrastructure and human resources in health.

3. ‘WORLD RHINO DAY’ OBSERVED ON 22 SEPTEMBER
i) The World Rhino Day was observed on 22 September.
ii) In India, world Rhino day was observed with all-day awareness programmes at Kaziranga National Park (Assam), Manas National Park (Assam) and Laokhowa Burachapori (Assam).

4. ‘ADB’ LOWERED INDIA’S GROWTH RATE FOR 2016 FROM 7.8% TO 7.4%
i) Asian Development Bank   lowered India’s gross domestic (GDP) growth projections for the fiscal year 2016 to 7.4 percent from 7.8 percent.
ii) Indian economy growth is forecasted at 7.8 percent which is lower than the earlier forecast of 8.2 percent.
iii) The causes for the lowering of growth projections has been the economic slowdown in industrial countries, weak monsoon, and stalled action of some key structural reforms.
