1. INDIA ELECTED IN 4 U.N. BODIES:
A.   India was elected to 4 important United Nations (UN) agencies.
B.   India was elected at the coordination and Management Meeting (CMM) of UNECOSOC (the United Nations Economic and Social Council) held at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA.
C. India was elected in the following 4 bodies:
·         UNICEF – United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund
·         WFP – World Food Program
·         CCPCJ – Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice

2.   SEOUL WON WWF’S EARTH HOUR CITY CHALLENGE:

A. India has successfully test fired Dhanush Ballistic missile.
B. Dhanush is a surface- to –surface Nuclear capable missile with 350 km range.
C. The missile was fired from an offshore patrolling vessel (OPV) Indian Navy by the strategic force command (SFC).
