4. 45 DAY LONG ANNUAL FISHING BAN STARTED IN INDIA:
. 45 day long annual fishing ban on Eastern coast of India including Andaman and Nicobar Islands was enforced on 15th April.
.  The ban will continue till mid-night of 31st may.
. On the west coast including Lakshadweep in the Indian exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), the ban is imposed from 15th June t 31st July every Year.

5. SIKKIM HC GETS ITS FIRST LADY JUDGE:
. Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai sworn in as first Lady Judge of Sikkim high Court.
. Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai took oath by the Governor Srinivas Patil at Raj Bhavan in Gangtok.

. Sikkim high court has strength of 3 Judges.
