1. K.N.TRIPATHI SWORN IN AS GOVERNOR OF MIZORAM:
A.   Keshari Nath Tripathi sworn in to become the 16th governor of Mizoram.
B.   Keshari Nath Tripathi already has charge of 2 states i.e. West Bengal and Bihar.
C. Keshari Nath Tripathi was given additional charge of Mizoram after Union Government has sacked then governor Aziz Qureshi.

2.   PEDRO CATERIANO BELLIDO APPOINTED AS P.M OF PERU:
A.   Petro Cateriano Bellido is appointed as the New Prime Minister of Peru.
B.   Petro Cateriano Bellido replaced Ana Jara who lost Confidence vote.

3. MINOR PLANET NAMED AFTER VISHWANATHAN ANAND:
A.   Former Chess Grandmaster had a minor planet named after him.
B.   Michael Rudenko, a committee member of the Minor planet centre officially named a minor planet as 4538 Vishyanand.
C.   Vishwanathan Anand is Indian Chess Grand Master.
D. Prior to Vishwanath Anand, former World Chess Champions Alexander Alekhine and Anatoly Karpov.

4. HARYANA WANTS SEPARATE HIGH COURT:
A. Haryana’s Chef Minister Manohar Lal Khattar wants separate High court for Haryana.
B. Khattar raised the issue at a joint conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of States, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and presided over by chief Justice of India, H.L. Dattu.
C. Currently Punjab and Haryana have one common High Court.

5. KARNATAKA WON AJIT WADEKAR TROPHY:
A. Karnataka has won Ajit Wadekar Trophy by defeating purvanchal (eastern States) in the final.
B. Karnataka lifted the trophy in 7th national cricket championship for physically challenged.

6. LONG, MARIN WINS MALAYSIA OPEN TITLE:
A. Chen Long and Carolina Marin wins men’s and women’s single title respectively in the Malaysia open tournament.
B. China’s Chen Long defeated two time Olympic champion Lin Dan in the final.
C. Spain’s Carolina Marin clinched the title after defeating China’s Olympic champion Li Xuerui.

7. KHALEDA ZIA GRANTED BAIL:
A. Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was granted bail.
B. Khaleda Zia was the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 2001 to 2006.
C. Former P.M Khaleda Zia is accused of embezzling $650,000 in two corruption cases.

8. SERENA WINS 8TH MIAMI TITLE:
A. Serena Williams won her 8th Miami Title to join an elite club.
B. World’s No. 1 Serena Williams defeated Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro.
C. US superstar Serena Williams lifted the trophy in the elite premier level tournament for the third straight year.
D. Serena Williams won her 19th Grand Slam Title.
