1. RAJASTHAN
FIRST STATE TO SUBMIT ANNUAL ACTION PLAN UNDER ‘AMRUT’
i) Rajasthan
became the first Indian state to submit State Annual Action Plan under Atal
Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT).
ii)
Rajasthan has targeted universal coverage for water supply and sewerage connections and urban transport to all urban
households in the state.
AMRUT
IS STARTED TO ENSURE :
i. Every
household has access to a tap with assured supply of water and a sewerage
connection.
ii. To Increase
the amenity value of cities by developing greenery and well maintained open
spaces
iii. To Reduce
pollution by switching to public transport or constructing facilities for
non-motorized transport (e.g. walking and cycling)

NOOYI, 2ND POWERFUL WOMEN IN FORTUNE’S BUSINESS LIST
i) Indra
Nooyi, CEO of food and beverage giant PepsiCo is the only Indian-origin
executive in 2015 edition of Fortune’s list of 50 Most Powerful Women in
Business
ii) The list was topped by General Motors CEO
Mary Barra.
iii) Fortune
is an American business magazine.

NADU’S ‘FIRST GLOBAL INVESTORS SUMMIT’ BEGINS IN CHENNAI
i) Tamil Nadu’s
first Global Investors Summit started in Chennai.
ii) It is started
to woo investors to invest in the state.
iii) It is seeking
to target investment commitment of one-lakh crore rupees. Over five thousand
delegates including from foreign nations are attending the two-day summit.

AUTO PORTAL ACQUIRED CARDEKHO
i) CarDekho company has acquired
Zigwheels, an auto portal owned by Times Internet.
ii) CarDekho is a subsidiary of Girnar
Soft, which runs the CarDekho, BikeDekho, PriceDekho sites and Gaadi.com as
well.
