1.  WORLD HERITAGE DAY OBSERVED ON 18TH APRIL, 2016
i. World Heritage Day was observed all over the world on 18th  April.
ii. The day is observed with an aim to create awareness among the people towords conserve and protect the valuable assets and cultural heritage across the world.
iii. The theme for the day is: The Heritage of Sport.

2. BANKS TO SHARE ALL TRANSACTION DETAILS IN STANDARD FORMAT
i. The Banks will have to share the transaction details in a standard format.
ii. The decision is taken because the revenue intelligence and central security agencies are looking seriously into money laundering and financial fraud cases.
iii. Enforcement Directorate also emphasised that the details of cheque transaction should also be provided by the banks in the prescribed format.

 3. THE 13TH ISLAMIC SUMMIT CONFERENCE CONCLUDED IN ISTANBUL
i. The 13th session of the Islamic Summit Conference was concluded in Istanbul, Turkey.
ii. The theme of the event is Unity and Solidarity for Justice and Peace.
iii. The main purpose is to discuss the current situation in Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, Mali, Jammu and Kashmir, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Armenia’s aggressions on Azerbaijan.
iv. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation is an international organization founded in 1969 consisting of 57 member states.

4. UNION GOVERNMENT RELEASED COMMEMORATIVE COIN AND CIRCULATION COIN ON TATYA TOPE
i. Union Minister for Culture and Tourism and Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma  released a Commemorative Coin of 200 rupees and a Circulation Coin of 10 rupees to mark the Martyrdom Day of Tatya Tope.
ii. The Union Ministry of Culture has been celebrating the 200th Birth Anniversary of Tatya Tope.
iii. Tatya Tope  known as Ramachandra Pandurang Tope was one of the most outstanding leaders of India’s First War of Independence in 1857.

5. DIPA KARMAKAR BECAME FIRST INDIAN WOMAN GYMNAST TO QUALIFY FOR OLYMPICS
i. Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar created history by becoming the first Indian woman gymnast to qualify for Olympics.
ii. He booked his berth for the Rio Games after a strong performance at the final qualifying and test event.

6. DELL RELEASED LIST OF FUTURE READY ECONOMIES MODEL
i. Dell released its ranking of Future Ready Economies Model globally.
ii. San Jose topped the list and Delhi in India ranked at 44th place.

iii. These rankings are based on the embracing technology  of the counties to adapt and thrive in an ever changing and globalised future.
