1.   Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the United States
ü CEO round-table meet 2019 (September 21, 2019)
In Houston, PM interacted with the CEOs from the US oil and gas sectors. CEOs of 17 global energy companies participated. Also MoU between US natural gas company Tellurian Inc. and Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) of India was signed.
ü PM Modi attended the “Howdy, Modi” event at NRG stadium in Houston, Texas along with the US President Donald J Trump.
ü PM addressed the 74th Edition of United Nations (UN) Climate Action Summit 2019 in New York under the theme “Climate Action Summit 2019: A Race We Can Win. A Race We Must Win”
ü The India-Pacific Islands Developing States (PSIDS) Leaders’ Meeting was held in New York .He invited leaders to join the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).
ü He extended an invitation to all the leaders for the 3rd Forum for India-Pacific Island Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit to be held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea in first half of 2020.
ü Prime Minister Modi, inaugurated the 50-kilowatt Gandhi Solar Park at the UN Headquarters, New York and Gandhi Peace Garden at State University of New York College.
ü The special commemorative event ‘Leadership Matters: Relevance of Gandhi in the Contemporary World’ was hosted by Modi in New York.
ü  A special UN Postage stamp on Gandhi’s 150 years issued by the UN Postal Administration.
ü India gifted 193 solar panels, one panel each 193 UN member states at UN headquarter.
ü PM Modi received the Global Goalkeeper Award 2019 by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA).


2.   RBI Placed Lakshmi Vilas Bank Under PCA
ü RBI has put the Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) Framework against Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) after an inquiry against the directors of the bank over the alleged fraud.
ü Now RBI monitor, control and take corrective actions on banks which are weak and troubled.
ü The objective of PCA is to improve the performance of the bank and to keep it free from any adverse effect on daily functioning.
3.   HS Arora appointed as new IAF Vice Chief
ü Air marshal Harjit Singh Arora  was appointed as the new Indian Air Force(IAF) Vice Chief.
ü He will succeed Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria who will take over as the Chief of Air Staff .
4.   Suresh Chitturi becomes chairman of the International Egg Commission
ü Suresh Chitturi, Managing Director of India’s poultry firm Srinivasa Farms was appointed as the new Chief of the International Egg Commission(IEC) for a 2-year tenure.
5.   2nd INS Khanderi attack submarine
ü Mr Rajnath Singh commissioned India’s second Scorpene-class attack submarine INS Khanderi, India’s first P-17 Shivalik-class frigate INS Nilgiri and the largest aircraft carrier drydock into the Indian Navy in a ceremony held at the Mazagon Docks in Mumbai, Maharashtra 
6.   England women’s wicket-keeper Sarah Taylor aged 30 retired from international cricket career.
7.   Siddharth Dhanvant Shanghvi new book -“Loss”.The book has been published by HarperCollins India.
8.   World Rabies Day 2019-September 28
ü Theme “Rabies: Vaccinate to Eliminate”. It is a zoonotic disease i.e. transmitted from one species to another.
ü It also marks the death anniversary (September 28,1895) of Louis Pasteur, who had developed the first rabies vaccine.
