1.    India’s global mega-science exhibition, ‘Vigyan samagam 2019’
ü Dr Harsh Vardhan has inaugurated the India’s 1st -ever multi-venue Mega science exhibition, ‘Vigyan Samagam 2019’, at the iconic Science City in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Presence of prestigious projects and organisations such as European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research’ (FAIR), India-based Neutrino Observatory(INO), etc.

2.    WEF to be held in Switzerland
ü The 50th edition of the World Economic Forum(WEF) is to be held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, January 2020. The theme of the forum is fixed as ‘Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World.’
The president of the WEF Børge Brende, has invited Telangana Information and Technology(IT) minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, to the forum appreciating his work of launching various IT initiatives in the state.


3.    P.M Modi’s visit to Thailand
ü PM Narendra Modi visited Thailand to attend ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) and RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) summits for strengthening regional cooperation in areas like trade, maritime security and connectivity. 
ü The 35th edition of ASEAN summit began in Bangkok, Thailand, where it was inaugurated by Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-Cha. The theme of the summit was “Advancing Partnership for sustainability”. 

4.    Aditya Mishra has been appointed as the Chairman of Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI).

5.    New spyware- Pegasus
ü WhatsApp recently confirmed that Israeli based NSO group, used a spyware called ‘Pegasus’ in WhatsApp to spy on govt. officials, journalists and activists globally, mainly Indians. The announcement was made after whatsapp sued NSO group and Q Cyber Technologies, in American court.

6.    US Grand Prix 2019
ü Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton (Britain), won the 6th F1 World Championship title, after finishing second in United States Grand Prix (US-GP) 2019. He also became the second most successful driver in the F1 history after former racing driver Michael Schumacher of Germany.
