1.    Women, Peace and Security Index 2019
ü In Women, Peace, and Security Index for the year 2019. India was ranked 133rd out of 167 countries. The list was topped by Norway which was followed by Switzerland and Finland in the second and third places respectively.
ü Yemen was ranked last at 167th place in the index.

2.    Parliamentary speakers’ summit of G20
ü  Lok sabha speaker Om Birla composed the Indian Parliament delegation for 6th parliamentary summit of G20 countries, held in Tokyo, Japan. The summit is unofficially called P20, which was hosted by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), headquartered in Geneva and the House of Councilors of National Diet of Japan
The summit had three sessions on separate themes related to trade, technology and sustainable development


3.    Tech mahindra acquires Born group
ü Tech Mahindra Ltd (Tech M) has acquired US based  media outsourcing firm Born Group Pte. Ltd  (formerly known as Group FMG ) for $95 million.

4.    101st warship ‘Annie Besant’
ü Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) has delivered its second in the series of the fast patrol vessel(FVP) named “Annie Besant” to the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). It is also the 101st warship presented to the ICG.

5.    India’s indigenously made standing wheelchair
ü Indian Institute of Technology-Madras(IITM) has developed India’s first indigenously developed standing wheelchair named “Arise”.It was launched by Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot.

6.    Guru Nanak dev ji biography to be released
ü Guru Nanak biography has been released on his 550th birth anniversary. The book was written by the professor and author Nikky-Guninder Kaur Singh, the book titled “The First Sikh:The Life and Legacy of Guru Nanak” which describes about the majestic and magisterial portrait” of the life and legacy of Guru Nanak.

7.    India’s first 4-level transit intersection
ü NHAI has approved the Rs 573-crore proposal to construct a flyover between the railway track and the Nagpur metro.With this , the city Nagpur, Maharashtra is set to be the 1st in India to get a 4-level transit intersection.
