1. “MY LIFE MY YOGA” VIDEO BLOGGING CONTEST LAUNCHED
·        PM Narendra Modi during his Mann Ki Baat address to the nation announced the “My Life – My Yoga”(Jeevan Yoga) Video Blogging Contest, as one of the activities related to the observation of the 6th International Day of Yoga (IDY) on June 21st, 2020.
·        The contest being organized by the Ministry of AYUSH and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is open for participants from all countries.
·        To enter into the contest the participants are required to upload a 3 minutes duration video of 3 Yogic practices (kriya, asana, pranayama, bandha or mudra), including a short video message on how the Yogic practices influenced their life. 

2. “RESPONSIBLE AI FOR YOUTH”
·        Ravi Shankar Prasad launched India’s National Artificial Intelligence(AI) Portal called www.ai.gov.in & launched a National Program for the youth, “Responsible AI for Youth” during the occasion of the first anniversary of the second tenure of the government.
·        The portal was developed jointly by the National e-Governance Division of Ministry of Electronics and IT and NASSCOM from the IT industry.
·        It is created & launched by the National e-Governance Division, Ministry of Electronics & IT in collaboration with Intel India, with support from Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSE&L), Ministry of Human Resource Development.


3. YES BANK PICKS 24.19% STAKE IN DISH TV
·        Private sector lender Yes Bank Limited has acquired a 24.19% stake in Dish TV India Ltd, a company providing Direct to Home (DTH) television service in India, following invocation of 44.53 crore pledged shares due to default in payment of debt by Dish TV and some other companies.
·        It is to be noted that as of March 31, 2019, Dish TV’s debt stood at Rs 2,758 crore.


4. NASA ASTRONAUTS FLY SPACEX SPACECRAFT ‘DRAGON’
·        NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley docked the SpaceX “Dragon” spacecraft.
·        Falcon9 is the world’s first orbital class, two stage reusable rocket designed and manufactured by SpaceX for the transportation of humans and payloads into Earth orbit.
·        The astronauts named the SpaceX Crew Dragon Capsule“Endeavour” after the retired winged orbiters, stating that they both had their first flight on the shuttle Endeavour.
·        SpaceX became the first private company to fly astronauts into orbit.


5. BOLLYWOOD MUSIC DIRECTOR WAJID KHAN PASSES AWAY
·        Music Director Wajid Khan, of the popular duo Sajid-Wajid, known for his compositions for Salman Khan’s popular movies such as ‘Wanted’, the ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, passed away at the age of 42 in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
·        Wajid Khan was the brother of music director Sajid Khan.
·        He was born in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh on July 10, 1977.

6. 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF WORLD MILK DAY: JUNE 1, 2020
·        World Milk Day (WMD) is observed every year on June 1 globally, with the aim to raise awareness about milk and its importance as global food.
·        Theme for the year 2020: 20th Anniversary of World Milk Day.

7. World No Tobacco Day 2020, May 31
·        The World Health Assembly passed the Resolution WHA40.38 making 7th April world no-smoking day and the Resolution WHA42.19 for World No Tobacco Day on 31st May in 1988.
