1. AROUND 5000 KONYAK WOMEN DANCE TO SET A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD AT MON, NAGALAND
In the programme organized at Mon (Nagaland) during the Aoleang Monyu festival around 5000 Konyak Naga women in their traditional attire attempted to set a Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Traditional Konyak Dance’.
The festival is celebrated for the arrival of Spring and for a good upcoming harvest.
The theme of the Aoleang Monyu festival aka Mini Hornbill festival was ‘Empowering women for cultural heritage‘.

2. WORLD BANK ESTIMATES INDIA’S GDP GROW TO 7.5% IN FISCAL YEAR 2019-20
As per the World Bank, India’s GDP growth is expected to accelerate moderately to 7.5% in Fiscal Year 19-20, driven by continued investment strengthening, particularly private-improved export performance and resilient consumption.

3. GUWAHATI RAILWAY STATION FIRST TO GET ISO CERTIFICATION IN INDIA
The Guwahati Railway Station has become the first ever railway station in the Indian Railways to get an ISO certification from the National Green Tribunal for “providing passenger amenities in a clean and green environment.”
Many types of ISO certification exist and the one received by Guwahati Railway Station is ISO-14001, which is for Environment Management System as per international norms which were upgraded in 2015. Thus, the station’s certificate reads ISO 14001: 2015.

4. ISAAK HAYIK, 73, SET A NEW RECORD AS WORLD’S OLDEST SOCCER PLAYER
73-year-old Israeli Isaak Hayik set a new world record as the world’s oldest person to play in a professional soccer match.
The previous record holder was 53 years old Uruguayan Robert Carmona who was played a professional match in 2015.


5. METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT ISSUES ‘YELLOW’ WEATHER WARNING FOR HIMACHAL PRADESH
The Meteorological Department issued a yellow weather warning for rain in Himachal Pradesh. Rainfall had occurred at isolated places over the state.
Meteorological Department has issued colour-coded warnings to alert people ahead of severe or hazardous weather.

6. AN OVERVIEW 2019 MALAYSIA OPEN
The 2019 Malaysia Open, officially the CELCOM AXIATA Malaysia Open 2019, is a badminton tournament which takes place at Axiata Arena in Malaysia.
Lin Dan of China won in Men's Singles category after defeating Chen Long of China. Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei won in Women's singles after defeating Japan's Akane Yamaguchi.
