1.        Swachhta Hi Seva 2019
ü  Narendra Modi launched nationwide campaign “Swachhta Hi Seva 2019”(SHS) in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh(UP). The theme for 2019 is ‘plastic waste awareness and management’.
ü  This SHS which means “Cleanliness is service” is observed from 11th September to October 2nd 2019 as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
2.        SBI revises service charges
ü  State Bank of India(SBI) has announced revision in charges of deposits and withdrawals that will be effective from October 1, 2019. The new revision is applicable to cash withdrawals, non-maintenance in Average Monthly Balance(AMB) and deposits.


3.        Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2020
ü  In World University Rankings 2020, published by the United Kingdom (UK) based Times Higher Education (THE), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore were ranked number 1 among the 56 Indian institutes on the list of the best universities of the world.
4.        Navdeep Suri conferred with Order of Zayed II
ü  The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has honored Indian Ambassador Navdeep Singh Suri with its highest civilian honor Order of Zayed II award.
5.        AEWC aircraft ‘Netra’ for Air Force
ü  The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has handed over the 2nd indigenously developed AWAC (Airborne Early Warning and Control) aircraft, ‘Netra’  to the Indian Air Force(IAF).
6.        Track Asia Cup cycling Competition
ü  Three-day event of the 6th Track Asia Cup cycling competition 2019 hosted by Cycling Federation of India (CFI)  was held in New Delhi at Indira Gandhi Indoor (IGI) Sports Complex.
ü  The list was topped by India with 10 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze, totaling 25 medals in the event.
ü  India was followed by Uzbekistan and Malaysia in the second and third places respectively.
