1. ‘PM SVANIDHI’ FOR PROVIDING AFFORDABLE LOANS TO STREET VENDORS LAUNCHED
·        Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has launched a scheme PM SVANidhi– PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbharNidhi under which the street vendors, who had their businesses operational on or before 24 March, 2020 can avail a working capital loan of up to Rs. 10,000 which is repayable in monthly instalments in the tenure of one year.
·        The loaning will commence from July 2020.
·        The scheme will cover vendors, hawkers, thelewalas, rehriwala, theliphadwala etc. in different areas/ contexts to help them in resuming their businesses being affected by COVID-19 crisis.
·        Importantly, this is for the first time that street vendors from peri- urban/ rural areas become beneficiaries of an urban livelihood programme.

2. KISAN CREDIT CARDS CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED
·        Government under a special drive will provide Kisan Credit Cards(KCC) to 1.5 crore dairy farmers belonging to milk unions and milk producing companies within the next two months (1st June-31st July 2020).
·        The general limit for KCC credit without collateral is Rs. 1.6 lakhs, if the milk is directly procured by Milk Unions from the farmers it falls under tie up arrangements between the producers and processing units without any intermediaries & so the credit limits without Collateral can be upto Rs.3 lakh.


3. ‘ONE NATION-ONE RATION CARD’ SCHEME
·        The Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan informed that Odisha, Sikkim and Mizoram have joined the ‘One Nation-One Ration Card’ scheme on ‘Integrated Management of Public Distribution System’(IM-PDS) a total of 20 states/Union Territories(UTs) in the scheme.
·        All states will be added in the scheme & the scheme will be operational all over India by March 2021

4. COMMITTEE FOR MSME LOAN IMPLEMENTATION
·        PM Narendra Modi appointed a committee headed by Rajnath Singh to solve the difficulties faced in the implementation of Rs.3 Lakh crore collateral-free loan for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises(MSME) announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on 13th May 2020 as a part of Rs.20 Lakh crore Covid-19 aid to raise the economy.
·        According to the revision of definitions, 
·        Micro enterprises – investment upto Rs.1 crore and turnover under Rs.5 crore
·        Small enterprises – investment upto Rs.10 crore and turnover upto Rs.50 crore
·        Medium enterprises – investment upto Rs.50 crore and turnover under Rs.250 crore

5. ‘CHAMPIONS’ PORTAL TO EMPOWER MSMES
·        PM Narendra Modi has launched CHAMPIONS (Creation and Harmonious Application of Modern Processes for Increasing the Output and National Strength) to help the smaller MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) by resolving their grievances and the complaints received on the portal will also be redressed within the prescribed limit.

6. ‘ONE YEAR OF MODI 2.0 – TOWARDS A SELF-RELIANT INDIA’
·        A 92-page e-booklet called ‘One Year of Modi 2.0 – Towards A Self-Reliant India’ on the key achievements of the Modi government during its second term was released on June 1, 2020, by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B).
·        This marks the first anniversary of the second term of the government.

7 . GLOBAL DAY OF PARENTS 2020: JUNE 1
·        Global Day of Parents is celebrated every year on June 1 globally.
·        The day was organized by the United Nations (UN) to emphasize the critical role that the family has the primary responsibility for the nurturing and protection of children.
