UNICEF INDIA CELEBRITY
ADVOCATE
·
The United Nations
Children’s Fund (UNICEF) India appointed
National-Award winning actress, Keerthy Suresh, as its Celebrity
Advocate to promote awareness on children’s rights, mental health,
education, and gender equality.
·
Keerthy Suresh
began her acting career as a child artist in Geetanjali, a Malayalam film in
2013. Later she started appearing as a lead actress across Tamil, Telugu, and
Malayalam languages.
·
In 2018, she
received the National Award for the film “Mahanati”, a Telugu
biopic of the legendary actress Savitri.

NITISH KUMAR SWORN-IN AS
BIHAR’S CM FOR RECORD 10TH TIME
·
The President of
Janata Dal (United) JD(U) party, Nitish Kumar officially sworn-in as
the Chief Minister (CM) of Bihar for a record 10th time,
after his party and its alliance partners under BJP-led National Democratic
Alliance (NDA) won the 2025 Bihar state assembly elections.
·
With this, Kumar continues
to be one of the longest-serving CMs in
India as he has been in power for nearly 2 decades, except a brief 9-month gap in 2014-15.
·
The Governor of
Bihar, Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office
and secrecy to Nitish Kumar and his 26 Council of Ministers
·
Leaders of
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)Samrat Choudhary and Vijay
Kumar Sinha also took oath as
Deputy CMs of Bihar for the 2nd time.
·
BJP-led NDA won 202 seats in the 243-member assembly
against Mahagathbandhan (MGB) which managed to secure only 35 seats.
·
BJP’s Candidate Maithili Thakur, singer-turned-politician,
becomes Bihar’s youngest MLA at 25 and she represented Alinagar constituency.

MEMBER OF SEBI
·
The Government of India (GoI)
appointed Indian Revenue Service(IRS) officer Sandhip Pradhan, as
a Whole-Time Member (WTM) of the Securities and Exchange Board
of India (SEBI) for a three-year term from the date of taking
charge.
·
With his appointment, SEBI now has three WTM, joining Amarjeet
Singh and Kamlesh Chandra Varshney.

MEITY NOTIFIES DIGITAL
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION RULES, 2025
·
Rules 1, 2, 17–21: Effective
from 13th November 2025 (covering the Data Protection Board’s constitution and
procedures).
·
Rule 4: Effective
from 13th November 2026 (Registration and obligations of Consent Managers).
·
Rules 3, 5–16, 22–23: Effective
from 13th May 2027 (18 months later) (covering core obligations like consent,
notices, and data breach reporting).
·
It Establish procedures,
obligations, and safeguards for collection,
processing, storage, and erasure of personal data.
·
Data Fiduciaries must
provide clear, itemised notices detailing personal
data collected, purpose, and withdrawal mechanisms (Rule 3).
·
DPDP Board Composition Chairperson and 3 Members, appointed
through search-cum-selection committees chaired by the Cabinet Secretary
(for Chairperson) and Secretary, MeitY (for Members).

30TH CII PARTNERSHIP SUMMIT
·
The Vice President of
India C.P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the 30th edition
of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (AP).
·
Union Minister PiyushGoyal
virtually laid the foundation stones for Drone City and Twin Space Cities in
AP.
·
The 2025 edition was held under the theme titled “Technology,
Trust and Trade: Navigating the New Geoeconomic Order”.
·
The
drone city, spanning 300 acres at Orvakal in Kurnool (AP), is designed to
become India’s central hub for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) drone innovation,
manufacturing, skilling, and certification.
6. YUVAI
FOR ALL FOR AI LITERACY
·
Intellipaat,
one of India’s leading Artificial
Intelligence(AI) -driven learning and upskilling platforms, has partnered
with the IndiaAI Mission, an initiative under the Ministry of Electronics and Information
Technology (MeitY), to launch the nationwide ‘YUVAi(Youth for
Unnati and Vikas with AI) for ALL’ programme aimed at accelerating AI literacy across India.

The collaboration supports
the Government of India(GoI)’s vision to empower 10 million citizens with
foundational AI competencies by January 2026.
·
Under the partnership,
Intellipaat will provide free training
in AI and Generative AI to participants across India.

INDIA SKILLS REPORT 2026
·
Educational
Testing Service (ETS), in partnership with
the Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Association of Indian Universities
(AIU) and Taggd, released
the 13th edition of India Skills Report (2026).
·
As per the report, India’s employability rose to 56.35%
in 2026 from 54.81% in 2025.
·
The report showed women employability now stands at 54%, surpassing
men employability i.e. at
51.5% for the 1st time in 5 years.
·
The report highlighted that India now holds 16% of
global AI talent, which is expected
to reach 1.25 million professionals by 2027.
·
The report further revealed
that more than 90% of employees across
sectors use Generative AI tools, while 70% of Information Technology (IT) and
50% of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance
(BFSI), organisations have adopted AI-based recruitment systems.
·
As per the report, India’s
gig and freelance workforce is projected to reach 23.5 million by 2030, with
project-based hiring increasing by 38% compared to last year.
·
The report has projected
that global labor shortages will
reach 85 million by 2030, while India is expected to supply a
surplus of 45 skilled professionals, positioning it as the
main talent hub at international level.
·
The report noted that
Tier-2 and Tier–3 cities like Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh, UP), Kochi
(Kerala) and Union Territory (UT) Chandigarh, are emerging robust employability hubs in India
·
As per the report, UP, Maharashtra and Karnataka, are the top 3 states with highest employability
in 2026.

FIRST POLICE IN INDIA TO
ACHIEVE 100% CYBER FRAUD RESPONSE RATE
·
Goa Police made
history by becoming the first state
police force in India to achieve a 100% response rate in cyber fraud-related complaints.
·
It signifies that every
single cyber fraud complaint registered
through any platform has been acknowledged immediately, assigned to an officer,
acted upon without delay, and followed up until resolution or escalation.
·
No complaint is ignored or left pending at the initial response stage.
·
Goa Police use the Citizen
Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting &
Management System (CFCFRMS), a national platform that tracks fraudulent
digital transactions in real time, sends alerts to bank and payment platforms,
helps freeze suspicious accounts, and prevents withdrawal of defrauded money.
·
The complaints received through Cyber Fraud Helpline 1930 and
National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) are instantly forwarded to Goa
Police cyber unit.
