1) RBI INCREASES FOREX REMITTANCE LIMIT TO $ 2,50,000

Ø  The Central Bank on Tuesday doubled the amount that an individual can remit in a year  for asset purchase outside country to $ 250000

Ø  An individual can remit under the liberalized remittance scheme, started in 2004 with a view to simplify Foreign Exchange Avenues available to Indians

Ø  This the second time that the limit has been raised since a drastic 62.5 % cut in the limit i.e to $ 75,000 in August 2013
