1. WORLD TOILET DAY OBSERVED ON 19 NOVEMBER
i. World Toilet Day is observed on 19 November every year with an aim to motivate millions across the world on issues of sanitation.
ii. The theme for 2016 World Toilet Day is ‘toilets and jobs’.
iii. The theme, toilets and jobs, focuses on how sanitation or the lack of it can impact livelihoods of people.

2. DONALD TRUMP PICKS MICHAEL FLYNN AS NSA
i. United States elected President Donald Trump has named Michael Flynn, as his National security adviser.
ii. Flynn served as Mr Trump's top military advisor during the Presidential campaign.

3. LATIN GRAMMY AWARDS 2016
ii. The 17th annual Latin Grammys has been announced at Nevada, US.
iii. List of Winners:
a.    Record of the Year:Carlos Vives & Shakira, "La Bicicleta
b.   Best Rock Album-Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, La Salvación De Solo Y Juan
c.    Best Singer-Songwriter Album-Manuel Medrano, Manuel Medrano


4. PT HARI PRASAD CHOURASIA GETS LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR CLASSICAL MUSIC
i. Noted flautist Pt Hari Prasad Chourasia has been conferred this year’s Sumitra Charat Ram Award for lifetime achievement in the field of Indian classical music.
ii. The Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awardee has also worked as a music director for Indian films, besides collaborating with several international musicians.

5. TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES AND VEDANTA WINS ACES AWARDS
i. Tata Consultancy Services and Vedanta have been awarded for their leadership in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, eco-consciousness and community care.
ii. TATA Consultancy Services was named Industry Champions in the Leadership category.
iii. India’s Vedanta Limited was named “Top Companies to Work For in Asia.”

6. IRAN EXCEEDS SAUDI ARABIA, BECOMES INDIA’S TOP CRUDE OIL SUPPLIER
i. Iran has exceeded Saudi Arabia to become India’s top crude oil supplier.
ii.In 2011 Saudi Arabia, was the largest supplier of crude oil in India while Iran was the India’s second biggest supplier of crude oil.
