1)       WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia’
ü  Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the ‘72nd Session of the WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia’ in New Delhi
ü  Dr PoonamKhetrapal Singh, Regional Director, WHO South-East Asia Region were present.
2)       First ASEAN-U.S. Maritime Exercise
ü  The United States (US) and 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries began their first Asean-US Maritime Exercise (AUMX) at the Sattahip Naval Base in Thailand.


3)       South Asian Speakers’ Summit
ü  4th South Asian Speakers’ summit on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) was held in Malé, Maldives 
ü  The Indian delegation was led by Om Birla, 17th Lok sabha speaker and the Rajya Sabha’s Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh.
4)       ICICI to deploy ‘Robotic Arms’
ü  ICICI Bank (Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India), the leading private sector lender, has become the 1st bank in India to deploy industrial ‘robotic arms’ to count millions of notes in currency chests across the country.
5)       Rs 9,300 crore capital infusion for IDBI Bank
ü  Government of India (GoI) has approved a capital infusion of Rs 9,300 crore in IDBI Bank(Industrial Development Bank of India). The objective behind the government’s move is to increase the bank’s capital base.
ü  Out of which Rs 4,743 crore will be given by LIC- Life Insurance Corporation .LIC completed the acquisition of a controlling 51 % stake in the troubled IDBI Bank in January 2019.
6)       IAF received ‘Apache AH-64E’ fighter helicopters
ü  The Indian Air Force (IAF) has received 8 US-made ‘Apache AH-64E’ fighter helicopters from US aerospace major Boeing at Airforce Station, Pathankot, Punjab.
7)       MOU Between Reliance Power and Bangladesh
ü  Bangladesh has signed  agreement to buy 718 megawatts(MW) of electricity from India’s Anil Ambani led Reliance Power over the next 22 years. Company plans to invest $1 billion to set up a local plant at Meghnaghat in Narayanganj.

8)       Ashok Leyland to meet BS-VI emission norms
ü  Ashok Leyland has become the 1st Indian original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to meet the Bharat Stage (BS) VI emission standards for all its heavy-duty trucks.
9)       Iranian Army has unveiled a high-precision jet-propelled drone called “Kian”, which has the capacity of carrying long-time surveillance missions.
10)     ‘Samudrayaan’-  deep ocean mining project
ü  India’s deep sea project “Samudrayaan” undertaken by National Institute of Ocean Technology, Chennai (NIOT) is proposed to be launched in 2021-22. 
11)    Indian Cricket Team’s Tour to West Indies
ü  T-20: India won the 3 match series 3-0 against West Indies.
Rohit Sharma of India became the most prolific six-hitter in T20 Internationals surpassing the record of Chris Gayle (West Indies) of 105 sixes.
ü  Test series India won by 2-0 margin.Virat Kohli became the most successful Indian Captain in Overseas Tests. He has won 28 test matches as a captain. In the first Test, with India’s victory Virat Kohli equalled MS Dhoni’s record of 27 Test wins.
12)    ISSF World Cup Rifle / Pistol
ü  2019 International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Cup Rifle / Pistol event was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil It was an annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic Shooting events and governed by ISSF. 
ü  India finished the tournament at the top spot with 5 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Bronze medals, with 9 medals altogether.
13)    Mithali Raj retires from T20 internationals
ü  India women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj has announced her retirement from T20(twenty-twenty) International inorder to focus on the upcoming 2021, 50 over World Cup hosted by New Zealand.
14)    Odisha rolls out “One nation one ration card”
ü  Odisha government implemented the “One nation one ration card” programme on a pilot basis initially in areas under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), to people possessing ration card ensuring inter-state portability of ration cards.
