1.       ANIMAL HUSBANDRY STATISTICS 2025

·         Union Minister of State (MoS) Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying (MoFAHD)and Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) released the annual publication of Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics (BAHS-2025)’ on the occasion of National Milk Day (observed on November 26, 2025) at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi.

·         As per the latest survey, India’s total milk production is estimated as 247.87 Million Tonnes (MT) during 2024-25 compared to 239.30 MT production registered in 2023-24, marking 3.58% Year-on-Year (Y-o-Y) growth.



·         Top 5 Milk Producing States are Uttar Pradesh (UP) (15.66%) followed by Rajasthan (14.82%), Madhya Pradesh (MP) (9.12%), Gujarat (7.78%), and Maharashtra (6.71%).

·         In Milk Production India ranks 1st in milk production globally.

·         The survey revealed that overall total egg production in the country is estimated as 149.11 billion numbers (nos.) during 2024-25, registering a 3.18% Y-o-Y increase.

·         Top 5 Egg Producing States are Andhra Pradesh (AP) with the share of 18.37% of total egg production,followed by Tamil Nadu (TN)(15.63%), Telangana (12.98%), West Bengal (WB)(10.72%), and Karnataka(6.67%).

·         India is 2nd in egg production worldwide. 

 

2.       44TH IITF

·         The 44th edition of India International Trade Fair (IITF), one of India’s largest trade and business exhibitions, was held in New Delhi

·         Theme ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

·         The 14-day long trade fair was organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), which works under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I).

·         Uttar Pradesh (UP), Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Bihar were the partner states of IITF-2025, while Jharkhand was the focus state.

·         IITF 2025 Awards Winners- Rajasthan Bihar, Uttar Pradesh (UP) received the Gold, Silver and Bronze medal, respectively in the partner states category, while Maharashtra received the Special Commendation certificate in the same category.

·         Odisha won the Gold medal in States and Union Territories (UTs) category, followed by Madhya Pradesh (MP) (Silver) and UT Puducherry (Bronze).

·         The Ministry of Defence (MoD) claimed the Gold medal in the Ministries and Department category, while the Ministry of Mines (MoM) and Ministry of Railways (MoR) received the Silver and Bronze medal, respectively.

 

3.       INDIA’S FIRST BIOPROCESS DESIGN AND SCALE-UP FACILITY ‘1 BIO’

·         The Government of Telangana launched 1 Bio, India’s first single-use bioprocess design and scale-up facility, at Genome Valley, Hyderabad, Telangana.

·         The facility offers end-to-end process development and pilot-scale validation for biologics and next-generation therapeutics across a 2-acre Genome Valley campus, featuring 1.5 lakh square feet (sq. ft.) of Research & Development (R&D) labs, innovation suites, and bioprocess training facilities.

 

4.       COP30 SUMMIT HELD - BELEM, BRAZIL

·         The 30th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference or 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations (UN) Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) took, in Belem, Brazil.

·         The COP30 summit was presided over by Brazilian diplomat André AranhaCorrêa do Lago, who served as the COP30 President.

·         The summit witnessed participation from over 195 countries, world leaders, negotiators, scientists, civil society groups, indigenous communities, youths, and international organizations.

·         At the COP30 summit, India was represented by Dinesh Bhatia, Indian Ambassador to Brazil, who represented India at the COP30 Leaders’ Summit on behalf of Prime Minister(PM) Narendra Modi.

·         Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) who led India’s official delegation to the summit.

·         Global Big Cats Summit: During the summit, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav announced the hosting of Global Big Cats Summit in 2026 in New Delhi.

·         The Government of India(GoI) released a publication titled “One Earth, One Family, One Future: A Decade of Climate Action”, showcasing India’s climate progress, state-level actions, adaptation measures, climate finance, and roadmap to a Sustainable Bharat 2047.

·         India Joined TFFF : India joined as an observer of the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF) led by Brazil, enabling it to participate in discussions and track developments without fully committing money or other obligations.

·         For the first time in COP history, USA was absent from the summit.

·         During the summit, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) launched the 2nd edition of the Global Cooling Watch Report. 

·         The report highlights that global cooling demand could increase more than threefold by 2050 under a business-as-usual scenario.

·         During the summit UNEP released a report titled “Global Methane Status Report (GMSR) 2025”, developed by UNEP and Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC).

·         According to the report, China tops the list, followed by USA.

·         India has become the world’s third largest methane emitter by emitting 31 million tonnes (MT) of methane(CH4) in 2020, accounting for 9% of global emissions.

·         On the sidelines of the COP30 summit, Germanwatch, an environmental think tank, in collaboration with New Climate Institute, and Climate Action Network (CAN), released the Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) 2026. 

·         As per the index, India ranks 23rd with a score of 61.31, dropping 13 positions compared to last year.

·         No country has achieved a “very high” rating to be ranked in the top three spots.

·         Countries such as USA ranked 65th with a score of 27.63, Islamic Republic of Iran (66) (14.33), and Saudi Arabia (67) (11.90) were ranked in the “Very Low” category.

·         COP30, involving 195 countries, adopted the Belem Package, a set of 29 decisions covering a wide range of issues such as adaptation finance, just transition, trade, gender, technology, mitigation, and implementation support.

·         The Climate Investment Fund (CIF), a global climate financial institution, launched Accelerating Resilience Investments and Innovations for Sustainable Economies (ARISE) programme.

·         Cambodia became the 18th country to join Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.

·         17 countries joined the Blue Nationally Determined Challenge (NDC) Challenge, a global initiative co-launched by Brazil and France in 2025.

·         The 31st session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP31 to the UNFCCC will be hosted by Turkey in 2026.
