1. INDIAN ORIGIN LAWYER DAVINDER SINGH NAMED VICE-CHAIRMAN OF ICC COMMISSION
i. Indian origin lawyer Davinder Singh has been appointed as Vice-Chairman of International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Corporate Responsibility and Anti-corruption.
ii. He is one of the top Indian origin lawyer in Singapore.
iii.International Chamber of Commerce Commission is located in Paris as  private sector world business organisation with an aim  to promote global trade and commerce.

2. KARNATAKA MOBILE ONE PROJECT WON 2016 BEST M-GOVERNMENT SERVICE AWARD
i. Karnataka’s Mobile One project grabbed 2016 Best m-Government Service Award at the World Government Summit in Dubai.
ii. Mobile One project brings together around 4000 services of multiple states and central government departments as well as private service providers at one place.
iii. The project was launched by the the President Pranab Mukherjee in December 2014.

3. INDIA RANKED 37 IN 2016 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY INDEX
i. India ranked 37 in the 2016 Intellectual Property Index it was released by the Global Intellectual Property Centre of the U.S Chamber of Commerce.
ii.The index was topped by the USA in terms of intellectual property protection and last rank was given to Venezuela.

4. BCCI BANNED PAKISTAN UMPIRE ASAD RAUF FOR INVOLVEMENT IN 2013 IPL SPOT-FIXING SCANDAL
i. The Disciplinary Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India banned Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf for 5 years on charges of corruption and misconduct.
ii.He was founded  guilty of charges in relation to the Indian Premier League betting and spot-fixing scandal of 2013.
iii.Earlier Ajit Chandila and Hiken Shah were also banned by the committee in relation to the 2013 scandal.

5. STATES CAN CLAMPDOWN MOBILE INTERNET ACCESS UNDER SECTION 144 OF CRPC
i. The Supreme Court ruled that States can clampdown mobile internet access under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code if they think that a public agitation can turn aggressive and disturb public tranquillity.
ii.The ruling was delivered by a bench led by Chief Justice of India T S Thakur.

6. BOOK TITLED A KINGDOM FOR HIS LOVE LAUNCHED BY AMAR CHITRA KATHA
i. A Kingdom For His Love book written by Vani Mahesh and Shinie Antony released.
ii. The authors through the book want to retell the Sanskrit play 'Swapnavasavadattam', one of the earliest and most celebrated playwrights Bhasa.
iii.It is an immersive novel about two people coming together against all odds for the sake of true love.

7. UNION HEALTH MINISTER LAUNCHED NATIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR ELIMINATION OF MALARIA 2016-2030
i. Union Health and Family Welfare Ministery released the National Framework for Malaria Elimination 2016-2030 at New Delhi.
ii.The framework outlines India’s strategy for elimination of the disease by 2030.
iii.NFME document defines goals, objectives, strategies, targets and timelines to eliminate malaria from the country.
iv.It will provide a roadmap for advocating and planning malaria elimination from the country in a phased manner.

v.The main aim is to eliminate malaria from India by 2022
