   1.  57 COUNTRIES TO PARTICIPATE IN FIRST-EVER MARITIME INDIA SUMMIT 2016

     i. 57 countries are going to participate in the 1^st Maritime India Summit 2016 scheduled to be held in April 2016 in Mumbai.

   ii. It was announced by the Union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari on the media launch of the Maritime India Summit 2016.

   iii. Maritime India Summit 2016 is the first Maritime India Summit to be hosted by Mumbai.

   iv. The main focus of summit is to give importance to Make In India and blue economy.

  2. PAYTM GETS READY FOR 1ST PAYMENT BANK

  i. The country’s largest mobile wallet provider Paytm has inked a agreement with banking and payments technologies FIS Global.

  ii. The goal behind creating payment banks is to bring about financial inclusion, by making it easier for anyone to get a bank account.

  iii. FIS a Fortune 500 company would help Paytm with core banking system.

  3. KARNATAKA LAUNCHES MUKHYAMANTRI SANTWANA HARISH YOJANA

  i. Government Karnataka has unveiled Mukhyamantri Santwana Harish Yojana to provide free medical treatment to road accident victims for the first 48 hours in the nearest hospital.

  ii. The scheme is named after Harish Nanjappa who had died as no help was provided to him after he was severely injured in an accident in February 2016.

  iii. State govenment hospitals have been ordered not to reject accident victims and will  provie proper medical care for first 48 hours.

  4. SUN PHARMA APPOINTED MS DHONI AS BRAND AMBASSADOR FOR REVITAL H

  i.Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited has appointed Indian Cricketer  MS Dhoni as the Brand ambassador for health supplement Revital H.

  ii. MS Dhoni selected as a popular choice basis a consumer research conducted by the company

  iii. M.s dhoni  known for pushing limits and achieving more and perfect combination of physical fitness, strategic thinking and decision making and fits well in the active lifestyle value proposition of Revital H brand.

  5. RELIANCE JIO TO OFFER FREE WI-FI AT 6 STADIUMS FOR T20 WORLD CUP

  i. Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani’s Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited has announced to offer free Wi-Fi services across 6 stadiums in the country for T-20 World cup.

  ii.The following stadiums will enjoy free Wi-Fi during T-20 world cup:

a.       Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi

b.      Eden Gardens in Kolkata

c.       Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai

d.      Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru

e.       IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali

f.        HPCA stadium in Dharamshala

  iii. Reliance Jio free internet is already provided in certain airports and tourist spots

  6. 108 FEET JAIN TEERTHANKAR IDOL ENTERS "GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS"

  I. 108 feet tall idol of Lord Rishabhdeva the first Teerthankar of Jains has entered the “Guinness World Records” as the world’s tallest Jain statue.

  ii. The idol was dedicated the last month during a grand ceremony where rituals were performed for several days.

  iii. Earlier the 57 feet idol of Lord Bahubali in Shravanabelagola in Karnataka was considered the world’s tallest Jain statue.

  iv. The impressive statue is located at Mangi Tungi Mountain near Teharabad village of Baglan tehsil in this North Maharashtra district.
