RBI UPDATES ALERT LIST
OF UNAUTHORISED FOREX TRADING PLATFORMS
·
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
updated its ‘Alert List’ by adding seven
new unauthorised forex trading platforms, bringing the total to 95.
·
These platforms are not permitted to conduct foreign exchange
transactions under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA),nor permitted to run electronic
trading platforms (ETPs) under the Electronic Trading Platforms(ETP)
(Reserve Bank) Directions, 2018.
·
The seven entities added to
the Alert List are Starnet FX
(www.starnetfx.com), CapPlace
(www.capplace.com), Mirrox
(www.mirrox.com), FusionMarkets (www.fusionmarkets.com),Trive (www.trive.com),
NXG Markets (www.nxgmarkets.com) and Nord FX (www.nordfx.com).

known as Make Things Easier Day, is

2025- NOVEMBER 14
·
Children’s Day (Bal
Divas) is celebrated every year on 14 November in India to
honor the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first
Prime Minister(PM)
·
2025 Theme: “For
Every Child, Every Right”
·
Jawaharlal Nehru became the
first PM of independent India and held office continuously for nearly 17 years,
from 1947 until his death on May 27, 1964.
·
His notable works include Letters from a Father to His Daughter
(1929), Glimpses of World History(1934),
Towards Freedom: The Autobiography of
Jawaharlal Nehru(1936), and The
Discovery of India(1946).

INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE
PREVENTION OF AND FIGHT AGAINST ALL FORMS OF TRANSNATIONAL ORGANIZED CRIME 2025
– NOVEMBER 15
·
The United Nations (UN)’s International
Day for the Prevention of and Fight Against All Forms of Transnational
Organized Crime (TOC) is observed across the globe on 15
November to raise awareness about the emerging threat of TOC.
·
2025 Theme: “Follow
the Money. Stop Organized Crime”.

NATIONAL PRESS DAY 2025 –
NOVEMBER 16
·
National Press Day (NPD)
is observed every year across India on 16 November to
commemorate the day the Press Council of
India (PCI) began functioning, safeguarding journalistic standards and
protecting press freedom.
·
2025 Theme: “Safeguarding
Press Credibility amidst Rising Misinformation”
·
The
1st Press Commission in 1954 recommended creating a statutory authority
composed of industry-linked members to uphold professional ethics in
journalism.
·
The
Press Council of India was established on 4 July 1966
under the Press Council Act, 1965.
·
The Press Council of India was re-established in 1979 as a statutory,
quasi-judicial, autonomous authority under the Press Council Act, 1978.
6. INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR TOLERANCE 2025 – NOVEMBER 16
·
The United Nations (UN)
observes the International Day for Tolerance every
year on 16 November to highlight the importance of
tolerance and foster understanding, respect, and appreciation among diverse
cultures and communities.
·
The inaugural International
Day for Tolerance was observed on 16 November 1996.
·
The date marks the adoption
of the Declaration of Principles on Tolerance
by UNESCO member states on 16
·
The UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize honors impactful scientific, artistic,
cultural, and communication initiatives that promote tolerance and
non-violence.
·
Madanjeet Singh Born on 16 April 1924 in Lahore (then British India), he became a
noted author on art and culture.
·
In 1995, UNESCO honored his lifelong
dedication to harmony by establishing the biennial “UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh
Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence,” awarded every two years
on 16 November with a cash prize of USD 100,000.
7. NATIONAL EPILEPSY DAY 2025 – NOVEMBER 17
·
National Epilepsy Day (NED)
is observed annually across India on November 17, raises
public awareness about epilepsy, dispels myths and stigma, and emphasizes the
importance of timely diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of this neurological disorder.
·
Epilepsy awareness is symbolized by the purple
ribbon, with the color purple representing lavender, the international
flower linked to epilepsy.
·
Epilepsy is a chronic non-communicable neurological disorder caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain, resulting in
recurrent, unprovoked seizures.
·
International Epilepsy Day Observed worldwide on the second Monday of February
each year, aims to promote global awareness of epilepsy and International Epilepsy Day 2025 was commemorated on 10 February
2025.

WORLD DAY OF
REMEMBRANCE FOR ROAD TRAFFIC VICTIMS 2025 – NOVEMBER 16
·
The United Nations (UN’s)
World Day of Remembrance (WDoR) for Road Traffic Victims is
observed worldwide on the third Sunday of November each
year to honor those who lost their lives or were injured in road accidents,
along with their families.
·
2025 Theme/ Slogan: “Remember. Support. Act.”
·
Global Road Safety Week 2025
(GRSW 2025)is a biennial WHO-led initiative that
unites governments, corporations, and communities worldwide to raise awareness
and drive action aimed at reducing road deaths.
·
The 8th GRSW was held from
May 12–18, 2025, with the theme “Make Walking and Cycling Safe.”
