1.  INDIA SINGED MOU WITH USA:

i.   India and USA signed MoU on Cooperation to establish PACESetter Fund.

ii.  The agreement was signed by Upendra Tripathy, Secretary , Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and Richard Verma, United States Ambassador to India.

iii.  PACESetter fund is established with a corpus of about 500 crore rupees with both the countries contributing equally.

2.  7^TH BRICS SUMMIT:

i.   7^th BRICS Summit held in Ufa, Russia.

ii. 7^th BRICS Summit held with the theme , ‘ BRICS Partnership- a powerful factor of Global development’.

iii. 6^th BRICS summit was held in Fortaleza in Brazil in 2014 and next, 8^th Summit will be held in      New Delhi.

3.  ISRO LAUNCHED 5 SATELLITES:

i.    Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) launched 5 British Satellites into Space.

ii.  The Satellites were launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta.

4.  BANDHAN BANK APPOINTED ITS CHAIRMAN AND BOARDS OF DIRCTOR:

i.    Kolkata based Bandhan Bank appointed its Chairman and Boards of Director

ii.    Ashok Kumar Lahiri is appointed as the Chairman of the Bandhan Bank.

iii. Founder of Bandhan financial Services Ltd, Chandra Shekhar Ghosh is appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank.

Note: Ashok Kumar Lahiri is the former Chief Economic Adviser to the Union Government.
